I purchased these for my 98 Mustang, after installation half of them didn't work, so took them out and rotated 180% like they say to do and they still didn't work and here is the problem... I found that the metal tangs are in the right position and some are in the wrong position. In the photo the one onthe left is correct for my application and the one on the right is wrong and this is the way they came in the bags. look at your old bulbs to find out what works for your application and adjust the metal tangs accordingly and you should have no problem getting them to work, you still might have to rotate 180% as there is a positive and negative side. Mine all work great now and I am pleased. I give it 4 stars only because I had to find this problem and removed my guage cluster 3 times to get them working properly...

For an '04 Honda Element instrument cluster. On my first try, none of them worked. But then I tried reversing the polarity (always works on TV!) and I got three to function. I removed the ones that didn't, pulled the contact wires away from the plastic a bit and tried again – this time all worked but one. I switched out that bulb for another and all are now working. I used the red bulbs – they're bright, and look awesome.

Half broke when arrived and others didn't work

Amazon says these parts fit my 2000 Dodge Ram Van. NOT EVEN CLOSE! They lack the plastic surround and sheet metal contacts that are a part of the existing instrument panel light bulbs. To make them fit I would need a spot welder, break the existing glass bulb lead welds off their sheet metal contacts, and spot weld these on, then reassemble the sheet metal into the plastic fixture that bayonet mounts into the instrument cluster. At best these should be sold as a DIY kit with missing parts!
