fair
Did find this a tough read and not as interesting therefore as previous books in the series. All the characters were new as was the place in which the story takes place. Perhaps I need to work harder on my German to fully appreciate these books. However as a beginner I found earlier books in the series funny.

Another wonderful book from André Klein
I've read this book twice now. Every time I re-read these books I get more from them. When I first read Sturm auf Sylt, I found it a little too difficult for me, but on second reading, a lot more words have filtered into my long-term memory, and this time it was a breeze. André Klein's writing style just gets better and better, and I fell in love with the cast of characters. I didn't want this one to end: I really wanted to spend more time with the bottle-deposit-obsessed punk Dörte and her gang of misfits.

Another hilarious Dino story.
I didn't find it too difficult after having read the preceding 11 Dino books, but it still improved my German reading comprehension a lot. There was usually enough contextual clues that new words could either be guessed or at least figured out with a bilingual German dictionary. Looking forward to the next Dino book.

Just not at all right for beginners
it just bugs me that the whole Dino series is described: For beginners, which the last two books are certainly not.Already the beginning of the "Sylt" bugs me. Die Reise nach Jerusalem: Students ask: What does he mean???? Why does he not explain it?People in a train, Dörte with a beer bottle -maybe a little tipsy - grölte, Joachim gruntze, Dörte rülpste,It gives the impression of them being so vulgar. On page 8 then one learns that Dino is with them - they are all without jobs like Dino. Then expressions: NO explanation for the student: "Die Reise nach Jerusalem, Streisand-Effekt, Schminflation ...Well..he uses the terms, explanations are too complex. Student: Read about it on the internet!!!!!The book goes back.
