AphogeeKertain 2 Minute Reconstructor 473 ml

This stuff is brilliant! I use Aphogee shampoo, dry my hair and then plaster this stuff on. I use far more than they recommend and I leave it on longer - but these are small quibbles, as it works an absolute treat! A bottle lasts ages and the price is excellent. I usually put it on with my fingertips, twist my hair into a bun on top of my head and then stick a cloth-covered shower cap on top and relax in the bath for 10 minutes. Then I rinse and put the deep moisture conditioner on while the hair is wet and sit for another five minutes. Rinse the lot and then stick some of the protein-enriched Aphogee serum on. All the products are excellent and really cheap - far better than Tigi! I have straight light brown hair that went prematurely grey and has been dyed light ash blonde for years - and for years it looked really dry. Now it doesn't and I haven't cut it in over a year. Also, after a while I found I didn't need to use this reconstructor every time as the condition improved so much - could just use the shampoo, balancing conditioner and serum.

Bought this after highlighting my grown up daughter's hair. It looked like straw afterwards and, consumed with guilt, I researched reconstructing products after being advised that it needed strengthening by a hair dresser.She has curly mixed-race hair and after a VERY slight trim (she's hair-dresser phobic) and 3 weeks of using this once a week - her hair has never looked better.She now washes and leaves in its natural state rather than adding all sorts of gels and serums which she used to use before to get rid of the frizz. She doesn't need them now and is really, really pleased with this amazing product. Can't believe it's so cheap. Just be careful and don't leave it on too long as too much protein can be really damaging to hair. Wash hair, use the recontructor and wait 2>7 mins depending on condition and then rinse out. Use a really good deep-conditioner afterward - preferably overnight if you have the time.I've used it too and my coloured blonde hair is now in better condition although the difference isn't as remarkable.We'll definitely be buying this again.I'm wondering if some of the reviewers who've reported stiff, dry hair after using this have followed the directions. This product is not a conditioner and too much protein can damage hair so it shouldn't be left on for more than the time instructed. You need to use a deep conditioner afterwards.

My hair is really really badly damaged from bleaching twice in one day, dying the same day and heat styling. It is dry, frizzy and cannot tolerate heat. The ends are badly breaking off and it has no movement, shine or life.I used this product and left it on my hair for 15 minutes due to its frazzled appearance. It has a lovely smell! I wasn't expecting much given the horrendous state of my hair. But to my surprise when I rinsed it off my hair was super super soft, full of movement and shiny for the first time in months! I was soooo pleased, that I cannot understand for the life of me why I did what I did next......I blow dried and straightened it with GHDs......foolish woman! It is frazzled once again.I think that for the price, this is a great treatment and would've made a fantastic difference if I had used it and let my hair dry naturally. I will try again......!

I have long, bleached blonde hair, and it was brittle, dry and kept breaking off. I washed my hair my a regular shampoo, got out of the shower, towelled my hair dry so it was damp / partially dry (always be gentle especially with damaged hair) then with a wide tooth comb I very patiently and gently de-tangled from washing, (because you shouldn't use any sort of conditioner before this treatment you need to take your time so you don't drag your hair out). Because my hair is quite thick I sectioned off my hair and saturated it with the treatment, also paying attention to the roots and scalp (it works wonders for dry scalp too!) and my damaged ends. Clipped it up and left in a shower cap for less than 10 minutes (not 2 minutes aha but ah well) then get in the shower and rinsed off. You honestly can feel the difference instantly. Wetting my hair in the shower, it felt smooth and moisturised almost like I've given it a deep condition. Conditioned it as normal then I styled as normal. When I was de-tangling my hair for a second time after showering, my hair detangled much more easily, it was less dry and felt less brittle. It looked much shinier after I blow dryed. I haven't tried the two step treatment and wanted to see what this product was like before I tried it, and now I've bought the two step treatment to see what it's like as well because this stuff really is good. It doesn't instantly repair your hair back to its state before the damage but it's a bigger improvement. I've used it twice now and I can see the difference and feel it too. My hair does feel softer and smoother. I hope with continued use my hair's condition will improve! I think for the price as well it's worth you giving it a go to see if it works for you.

Make sure you use a normal conditioner afterwards otherwise your hair will be so dry and knotty! all this product did was dry out my hair and make it look even worse. Waste of money

I’m so thankful for this product, it definitely is a wonder in a bottle. I suffered severe hair breakage for years and just after one use the breakage went from 100 down to 5! I introduced a friend to it and she was amazed as well.I’m thankful for science and grateful to the formulators of this.I usually keep it on longer than the proposed number of minutes and I use a steam cap over my hair. My hair usually comes out soft, shiny, untangled and strengthened after washing off. Best part for me is that my hair texture has greatly improved and my natural hair pattern is beginning to show through. I love it!This is a must have! I’m definitely stuck on it.
