Great product I always use this for my pond

I was transplanting my patio pond into a bigger "tub" and wanted to change from an "in pond" filtration system to a box filter for better water quality. After reading reviews, and having previously used this companies other products both in ponds and aquariums, I bought this Pond Filter Starter Gel to give the new box filter media the best chance of colonising good bacteria and other organisms quickly (I had also added some of the old media from the old filter so there was a small amount of good stuff already).I probably added way too much of this stuff to the box filter media but was happy to read that you can't really over dose. There was only the very weakest of blue tinge to the water afterwards and that dispersed within a day or two.Now it's been about 2 months since the new set up was installed and the water quality (fully tested as well as visually) is spot on. The fish and plants are all happy in their new bigger environment and the filter is chugging away doing what it should.This gel was so easy to use and I have loads left for any top ups in the future. It might be a bit more pricey than other similar products, but yet again, Pure provided an excellent product that did exactly what I wanted it to do with the minimum of fuss. I would definitely recommend to anyone starting a new filtration system on their pond or setting up a whole new pond environment. 5*****

great have used many time but expensive

I have used evos products before, they have never let me down. May be a bit more pricey than others but as with anything in life, you pay for what you get. I recently re did my pond from scratch and added a new filter. Used this to speed up the maturing of my filter. You can see the live bacteria in my filter now, water is clear, fish and plants growing well. All in all an easy to use and good quality product made by experts in their field. MAKE SURE TO TURN OFF YOUR UV FOR THE STATED TIME.

Takes ages

So all excited new fish pond new fish. They wasn't happy. I didn't know that we needed this. So been so worried I'd loose my pond fish. They Was all at the bottom wont hardly swim, one fish was on its side, anyway my hubby to me to buy this. It arrived and added to the filter straight away. No joke within 3 hours the fish are swimming about and so happy. The fish that was on its side is now happy swimming about. Would definitely recommend and will buy this again 😁

I'm not sure if it's me being a total novice to fish pounds, anyway I've got a 5 stage filter and wanted to get the friendly bacteria working asap, so I added PURE+ Filter Start Gel, followed the instructions and turned off my UV light for over 24hrs anyway 2 days later my pond is still slightly discoloured a bluish colour, I'm hoping this will clear and I have a healthy pond filter before buying some kio. Doesn't state on the bottle that this would happen?
