Excellent.
Works right out of the box, perfectly trimming the outer sheathing off Twin and Earth type cable of any size in the home leaving a very neat-ish finish. The finish is not perfect by any means but it's perfectly good enough!!First operation removes the outer sheath, second removes the insulation off . One minor complaint is the the stop markings are in inches not mm.You do need to shake this type every time you strip a wire, to make sure the removed sheathing is out of the jaws. Otherwise they can fail to operate on the next operation. These strippers seem to be made just that bit better than others I have tried and have a good positive action. I have been using them for going on five years now and they are still going as perfectly as the day I bought them.I was disappointed with the wire cutting, which is just the same as any other strippers ~ useless. Ah well, can't have everything. Can't get rid of the separate cutters yet!If you have never tried this type of stripper before then buy one immediately. They save a lot of time and avoid potential damage of the cores. They make their cost back in a matter of days.Don't think this is all you need, while amazing, the one downfall these have is they can't strip the inner sheath less than about a centimetre closer to the outer, so there is still an occasional need for the old fashioned plier types like the Stanley STA075068 ( not saying those are good, they are just an example of the type I mean ).Very highly recommended.

Cheapskate learns again.
"Darling," she purred, "I've ordered you a stripper for your birthday.""But dearest!" I cried in delighted surprise. "It's not by birthday.""I know," she smirked. "It's not that kind of stripper."And so I became the proud owner of a pair of these things. I was not at all disappointed. The outer covering slid off smoothly every time. No more tugging and teeth clenching muttering. The delicate copper-toned underneath came into view unmarked and blemish-free.I've bought many pairs of wire strippers over the years and apart from one pair of really cheap coloured plastic "parrot-jaw" efforts, they've all been completely rubbish. The good ones were bought from that well-known holiday camp electronics store which over many years, became a toy shop. The strippers never failed me but finally disappeared and were replaced with a pair of similar looking things which were useless from the word go, and again replaced with almost identical ones which worked okay for a day or two and then somehow broke into limp, dangly ornaments. The fancy-looking enamelled Silverline efforts with a mechanism looking a bit like the CKs never worked once, ever and I tried and tried.... The sheath grip simply slid along the cable no matter how I adjusted them. They're supposed to be lifetime guaranteed, but apparently I need the original packaging, proof of purchase, a signed quart of blood and to pay shipping to Hong Kong or something so they're now in the bin. I suspect they were faulty, but had no instructions or assembly diagram so short of buying another pair, I wouldn't know how to tell. Jaded, me.I tried the v-notched screw-adjusting end-cutter design too. Absolute rubbish - always kinked the wire and then broke it.Most reliable wire stripping has been done with a Stanley knife and an old pair of scissors and this generally works fine but I was recently cutting back some T&E, thinking "If this goes wrong, I've nothing left to work with." and so when it did go wrong... bah.Since my C.Ks arrived, I'm confident of stripping in front of total strangers without embarrassing myself. They're happiest with twin and earth but seem perfectly at ease with most kinds of flex, hook-up wire multicore, cat-5 and everything else I've tried. Silicon-shrouded immersion-heater cable proved too much for them, purely because it's physically too wide to fit in the jaws , but they were dispatched with the scissors and Stanley knife as expected. Everything else has been a joyous doddle and I should have obtained a pair of these years ago. Of course I was put off by the price, stupidly. Buying these 30 years ago would probably have saved me money, in the long run - iF they hadn't disappeared like the cheapish Ma**** pair. What the heck - five stars. If you're hesitating like I did, bite the damn bullet and go for it. You'll not regret it unless it was your last twenty quid and you get stranded in hostile territory after a party with no taxi fare or raincoat in a monsoon being chased by robotic gibbons who want your umbrella. Unlikely I know, but life can throw up odd little surprises.

Good item and very fast for stripping wire
Pretty good for stripping T&E cable. Not sure if its just my pair or whether everyone finds this but sometimes it will just slip Iver the cable and scag it rather then strip it so I have to make sure to put a slight angle through the stripper, this way it seems to catch it every time but this isn't something that I've seen needs to be done in review videos

EVERY TOOL BOX SHOULD HAVE THEM IN
Yes I looked on YouTube and some other sits giving a demo on how good they are, but I was still was not 100% convinced they was that good. How wrong I was, they are a must have in every tool box. So easy to use. If you had to find a fault they are a bit on the big size, so if you are having to stipe wire in a confined space like a wall might be a bit difficult. I have cut twin and earth and that small multi cable, like what's used for telephone & networking and it cut the outer sleeving perfectly without damaging the small wire inside, I was also impress that I was then able to strip 2mm cable that's inside too. Great tool definitely recommend.

Great bit of kit
Great bit of kit. Speeds up the job a little and no need for your fingers and thumbs to lose arguments with Stanley no more.

OK quality
Purchased this tool to strip speaker cable. Product was working ok for stripping the cables, but was useless for cutting the cable, had to resort to using my ordinary pliers. In the end went back to my old trusted method. This item could be really good addition to any ones tool kit, but price had dictated quality and bits are substandard. It's amazing that a different pair of the same product is better.

Perfect wire stripping
Does what is says on the tin. If you're into DIY stop wasting time and effort with a stanley knife and get this. Excellent consistent results in a fraction of the time
