I personally separated the shelves because I wanted them in different different places, but that’s the beautiful thing about the shelves. You can use them together or separate and they are so sturdy and so easy to put together and everything I need! The height is perfect to be able to place things on top or under and it’s the collectors perfect mini shelves! It looks great for the value and I absolutely love them.

These are one of the largest ones I found. The screws don’t really tighten all the way and the legs bent after a short fall before I set anything on it. It’s sturdy enough and space-saving. I set mine up side by side but wasn’t able to utilize the hooks that came with it to keep them held together, so I used tape instead. Assembly was fairly easy, looks great, price was a little too much for the quality.

Don't like that it is wobbly and not steady. Looks pretty good but would have been better if the metal bands were wider and attached the top and bottom more securely.

It is wonky when you assemble. Not clear instructions and the metal sides flare out some. It will work for my desk projects, but not sure I would buy this again. When assembling, don't tighten the screws all the way until you have it connected top-to-bottom, once you have that done, then tighten the screws. It still has a bit of a flaring out at the bottom, so it is not square, but almost. I used this for watercolores and crayons for artwork, so it will hold those lighter items and keep them not stacked, but separarte.
