Effective for field use
I use my ipad mini for work and this thing has saved me lots of space and weight. It does a great job of securing the ipad and I have no fear of it coming undone. I think the bag is a bit pointless and it's basically dead weight, there's nothing of use it can hold and just kinda dangles. I typically hang it around my neck except when I am on my bicycle I sling it over my shoulder. My only concern is the durability of the elastic, so I may post a follow up review if it fails but it's held up so far after 2 months of heavy use. Let me also add that it works with BOTH the Otterbox Defender and the Griffin Survivor case.

Exactly What I Needed
UPDATE: I have used this product for over 10 months. I have not had a single problem with it. I use the leg strap when I am at the gym to keep my Fire out of the way. I have used the neck strap around the house, working in the yard and garden, hiking, fishing, and backpacking. I have found that the included large S-biner is particularly useful to attach the case to a belt loop to keep it from swinging free and getting in the way or damaged. The Latch II Case has worked perfectly in all respects.________________________This is a 100% perfect tool. I have been looking for a hands-free way to carry my 8" Fire (other than in my back pocket). The Latch II Case is exactly what I needed. As with all OtterBox products I have used, this case is well designed, well build, strong, and durable. If you have an 8" tablet, the OtterBox Latch II Case is highly recommended (I cannot attest to how it will work with a 7" tablet).I have only 3 issues with this product. None of these issues are intended as a criticism of the case or intended to discourage anyone from buying it. My problems are not the fault of the design nor construction of the product, but in how I wanted to use it to meet my specific needs. I only want you to be aware of how I solved these issues.1. The small nylon loops intended for the shoulder strap to clip to are too small for my old, clumsy fingers. i saw the Nite-Ize S-biners OtterBox used to attach the storage bag and bought a 2nd pair for less than $5.00 at Wal-Mart (see attached photos). Problem solved.2. As you consider buying this, be aware of the position of your device's on/off and volume buttons, and headphone and charging connections. The Latch II Case is intended for universal use. However, on my Fire tablet, the buttons lie directly under the straps that attach the tablet to the case. It is not a big problem, but it was a bit annoying and did take a couple days to get use to. I was constantly turning my device off or changing the volume by accident until I learned how to position the straps and the buttons (see attached photos).3. If you have a case with a front screen cover on your device, the Latch II Case will only work for you If you fold the cover to the rear of the device. It is not a problem for me, because I do not a cover on my device. But if you do, be aware the straps will interfere with using the cover.P.S. It would be nice if the extra pair of S-biners was included with the product.

This gadget is GREAT.
I bought one of these things (bigger version) for my iPad a few years ago. I absolutely love it. I'm wheelchair bound and have a little limited use of my left arm and hand grasp isn't what it used to be. this little gadget has saved me from dropping it so many times. I can carry it around with me, without fear of misplacing or dropping. When I saw this smaller version (for the 7in tablet), it became a MUST HAVE for my Kindle Fire. Having the strap around my neck allows me to be "hands free" while reading or watching videos. I just "prop" the device against my belly and voila, a "lap" top, lol. it's great for traveling too. I can keep my iPad or Kindle with me instead of in a bag.

Accessory bag NOT for weighty items, sling however, is excellent, if tablet fits well
I was in need a holder or a sling to hold my tablet so I can use it as an audio-book player while I work while I move around. After trying some cheap hand-holder, I decided this is a much better solution. I am both impressed and disappointed by the product. The "sling" is excellent, even though the strap is extremely thin. I have no problem wearing it as a "cross-body" bag so it's roughly under my left arm though a bit higher than my waist, in either portrait or landscape orientation. The little elastic material in the hooks made it resilient to being stretched. And the sling part has metal hooks. The holder itself has 4 elastic corners to hold the tablet in. Strangely, the setup is a hair TOO LARGE for Kindle Fire 7 (5th Gen) that I have. while the holders do fit, they are very loose, and I've had the tablet fallen out more than once. I kludged them with two rubber bands, but this latch platform is best used with a tablet that's IN a case, not naked. Also, the 4 corners retention design means there's the potential of some ports or switches being covered up. For example, on the Kindle Fire 5th gen the power switch is covered up.The "accessory bag" was held by two s-biners that appears to be the same as the ones sold by Nite-Ize, and can be detached. Without anything in the bag, the bag can serve as short of a "stand" to prop the tablet at an angle but only in the landscape orientation. The "stand" works even if the accessory bag was empty.Unfortunately, the accessory bag was also the weakest link. I put a small backup battery and one USB cable in the bag, left it attached to the rig, and wore it for a day. The strap was fine, but the accessory bag broke: one or the two attachment points simply disintegrated. An inquiry with Otterbox revealed while the replacement part is free, there is a shipping and handling fee despite the warranty (it's about $6.00). Given I paid less than $20 for the setup, I figure it's not an unreasonable price overall.I did not test the wide strap for head-rest mounting, or the extra large s-biner hook (what's that for? belt-hanging?)The handle in the back is excellent, as it is adjustable to whatever your hand size, with use of hook-n-loop linkage. It is quite comfortable, though it does not rotate. All in all, if you need to carry your tablet with you, the Latch series carrier is excellent choice.

Awesome system to keep tablet handy on Job sites.
I got this to save me from myself on job sites and prevent drops over uneven ground. Combined with my OtterBox case, for my Ipad Mini5, this has saved my iPad a few times from falling out of a pocket. Fits into my safety vest's internal pockets, and there is plenty of length to the neck strap. the hand strip is also a great feature when standing to take notes.Perfect for any professional that wants to use a tablet on-site, but is concerns about dropping and damaging a $500-1000+ piece of tech.
