Orbit3 Pack Pre-Assembled Valve Manifold Slip Adapter

I'm not a big fan of Orbit's valves, but their manifold system is excellent. You just pair these transition adapters with Orbit's swivel adapters and manifolds and you can put together a set of valves where you can actually replace a valve or a filter or a pressure regulator without the hours of extra work and expense of digging, cutting, gluing, etc. The Orbit manifold parts are basically unions that are purpose-built for valve boxes and allow you to easily remove and replace the components in your valve box.If you build your valve assembly correctly with these manifold adapters and a couple inches of extra PVC, then in the best case, you can simply unscrew your old parts and screw in an identical new part. In the worst case, when you can't find an identical part, you can still replace the broken part with something that's not the exact same length and also glue in a short length of PVC and a new manifold adapter. Either way, there's no digging and the cost is minimal.In the photo, you can see 3 of the Orbit Slip Manifold Transition Adapters across the bottom. They are glued to the white PVC pipes that go straight down and out of the valve box. The valves are Rain Bird 100-DVF-NPT and the leftmost valve is for drip irrigation and has a combination filter/pressure regulator.

i have been looking for this part around town. home depot and lowes does not carry it in store. it goes with orbit 1" MPT manifold swivel adapter. in combination, these two part make sprinkler valve installation a snap. plumbers do not use these two parts thus if the valve goes bad, you have to cut pvc pipes and glue new pieces together, rather than just screw off the bad valve and replace it with a new valve in minutes. i would show you what i mean but my iphone is broken at this moment

Well, it works, I needed them, HD doesn't carry them in my store (but they have everything else that this with this system you don't need).Hoping the orbit valve system holds up. Tired of wedding on irrigation stuff. Had 3 PVC unions break on the seam, which some how lead to the old valves (not orbit, another brand (RB), that lasted about 1½yrs) cracking and leaking and me throwing my hands up in defeat and starting over with this orbit system.So far so good.

OEM part. Used this between the threaded valve adapter and both 3/4" and 1" pipe. 3/4" pipe slips inside. 1" pipe requires a 1" PVC SxS coupling.

Well....it works! If you follow the instructions it will sure work properly. Easy to install, high quality , durable, the color is perfect and most important: it does not melt in water. The water goes through it as water in a pipe and...like a miracle, when you push the water from one side it immediately goes out from the other side. Realy loved it and recomand everyone to buy it even if you don't need it.
