Excellent clips for repairing snapped clips or converting old can lights
These worked very well. The internal retaining clips both snapped on my can light. Instead of having to replace the whole can (which would have been a disastrous job), these attach to any part of the existing can sheet metal housing.Since I did not have a right-angle drill attachment, all I did was use a sharp metal punch to create a small depression on the can. The supplied sheet metal screws are very sharp. It took a few turns, and they finally bit into the metal and poked open the hole. Each clip took less than 3 min to install with manual tools.

I recently changed 13 ceiling light fixtures to flush mount, canless LED's. Six of those had existing cans with screw in bulbs and had no clips or holes for the standard torsion wires on the new flush mounts. These clips saved me. Inexpensive, work perfect, and easy to install (used an angle drill). Highly recommended.

You'll need a right-angle screw gun with (sheet metal rated) drill bit
good product, works well, but you need a right angle screw gun with (sheet metal rated) drill bit to get your pilot hole into the existing can.

Great Product
These are a life saver to retro fit LED trims into old recessed cans with no "clips". The self tapping screws included were excellent, most of the time I throw away included hardware and use my own.

I wish this product showed up sooner in my Amazon search! I had no idea these were a thing and they saved my led recessed light install. They worked perfectly and saved the day. Buy these if you have a large 7" can and are trying to retrofit a 5/6 inch led light in its place.
