Love all my polished switches

Recently decorated my lounge & bedroom and these were the finishing touches the rooms needed. I purchased two of these, which arrived the following day, well packaged in a padded envelope. To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting much for the price, but upon opening, I was proven wrong. They don't look cheap at all in fact quite the opposite! A few friends have commented about them and were gobsmacked when I told them they were only £3.60 each! The chrome face has an awesome finish and the switch itself is rounded so feels nice when switching on & off. It clicks smooth also, no clunky clicks light the cheap plastic ones you can get. Each switch came with a wiring diagram and the two screws. A few people have mentioned that they had issues with the screws, but either they were unlucky or I was the lucky one, because both sets of screws fitted perfectly with no issues at all. More than happy with these and will definitely be purchasing more for the rest of the house once the other rooms have been decorated.

I'll be honest, when I first opened the box, I thought the mechanism (the switch rocker) was flimsy, but once it is wall mounted, it's fine and stable and solid. Good quality finish, supplied with a comprehensive wiring guide for all sockets (not just the one it comes with), several of which are now kept in my tool box for future reference. Be wary of the screws though - some of the ones I had didn't "catch" properly into the backing plate and I ended up recycling some of the ones from old sockets I was replacing. No matter for silver/chrome, but would be annoying with brass. They don't supply gaskets (except with bronze), so don't use these for recently plastered/damp walls, otherwise the metal will tarnish.

Beautiful finish. Was very easy to fit. Will definitely buy more of these. If I was to wish for something I would say why don't they make the decorative finished plates slightly larger so they cover the backplate (that's white in my house) so I can not see it?! A small tip for when you fit it, put some masking tape round the screw holes on the plate so you don't scratch the nice finish.

Items received very quickly, nice quality and easy to fit. Look really nice once fitted. After reading other reviews I took extra care not to Let the screw driver slip across the chrome and scratch it, very handy tip! Would recommend A5 excellent service, with a last min change of address on another order for my dimmer switches but all arrived on time.

It works ok, but when installing it, put masking tape on the plate as if your screwdriver slips whilst tightening the plate screws, you will scratch it as it marks really easily.
