Charge!
This item was sent to me at no charge (no pun intended) for an honest, impartial review....I think it's handy to have a portable power bank - with Smartphones usually having only enough battery to last a day, it's possible you may need to use it but simply don't have the juice to do so.This powerbank is a chunky, metal housed device which feels nice and solid. It's not the smallest but hexagonal shape means that it sits on a flat surface nicely and seems to sit alongside objects in a bag and finds space for itself. To use it, it's dead easy - the bundled micro USB lead is plugged into a mains USB plug (or any powered USB port) and micro end is plugged into this powerbank - so you charge this in the same way you'd charge a phone. Once charged you can then use this to charge your phone by using the same USB cable (or your lightning cable if you are charging an Apple device) but the thick end would go in the powerbank and the micro end in your phone because this time the powerbank is providing the power.I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and ran it completely flat, I plugged it into this device and it charged to 90% in about an hour and a half which I was impressed with. The powerbank has a series of green lights to show how much charge it has left and it was depleted while charging my phone, and although it didn't take my phone to 100%, I was more than happy with 90% as other similar sized chargers have given me half of that in the past. The powerbank also has an LED torch on it, it's surprisingly bright - easily bright enough to look around if you find yourself in the dark (needing to light a walkway to see where you're going, or trying to find some dropped keys!).I like my kids to have something like this so that they can make a call if they need to but have a flat phone battery and this provides more than enough power for a call. It can also prolong battery life if you are trying to keep the young ones entertained during a car/train journey - this should give a tablet/phone a few extra hours of life.In a nutshell: A solid powerbank which will fit in a bag but is probably slightly too large to comfortably fit in a pocket. I'm pleased with this and the inclusion of a torch makes it more useful and more deserving of 'bag space' along with your keys, purse, etc. 4 stars rather than 5 purely because I have larger capacity powerbanks (twice the capacity of this) which are only slightly larger. This feels as though it should be a smidgen smaller to make it truly portable.
