Q: If buried, how safe are the contents from the elements?

Just by looking at mine, If it is locked and undamaged and used for the storage of documents and digital media . probably safe for a short time against accidental buria in damp rather than waterlogged soil. But there is no way it is designed for deliberate lnng-term burial

Q: My safe will not open - does anyone know what to do?

This happened to me I had to pay to get a locksmith to open it for me. These are from a bad batch I believe, I bought another same company everything, different type of closure tho and never had a problem since, that was 3 years ago and my new one still works fine. Hope that helps

Q: Is there a requirement to open the box for 30 minutes weekly to avoid moisture build up?

I have used this type of Safe for some years & have noticed no condensation moisture problems. However we do store it in a warm environment and I would not recommend keeping it in a very cold or damp environment. I hope this helps.

The casing is not split in this product which I have.
