Nothing was too much trouble. I was being a bit of an idiot but Hosmart set me straight and replaced a unit without a quibble....even though it was my fault! Fantastic. Highly recommended.

Neat simple intercom but not having used one before it wasn't obvious how to answer a call; the help described three ways to make a call but no information on how to answer it. The CALL button is in fact also a accept-call button. So far we have had variable experience in using the devices - I know that communication is affected by electrical devices such as TVs, monitors, computers, kitchen equipment, boilers etc etc , so trying to use it from one end of our single floor property to the other end proved difficult, trying to find a clear path. Trying it to communicate 60 feet away to the garage (its prime purpose) was more successful although it was strange that if I called from the garage, I could hear the other end clearly but my wife couldn't hear me so well, but vice versa, calling the garage from the house, it rang but when i clicked on the call button it didn't always work. Moving the unit in the garage just a few inches, or turning it a different direction, or playing with the aerial had mixed effects, sometimes improving things vastly. I also found that if the microphone is more than none inches to a foot away, my voice was being picked up well. So the lesson is talk loud, keep close to the mic, try moving the unit and the aerial to get the best angle both for communication establishment and for microphone sensitivity. But for the price I think its a fair price. By the way the unit comes with a plug lead that disconnects from the mains plug and can be plugged straight into a power bank that has a USB socket, so no need to buy an additional lead.

Duplex speaking is fine as it avoids pressing a button to speak, but there is a little delay when one end stops speaking and the other end replies. They tend to cut off the first word or two if the reply is immediately after the sender stops speaking. Needs getting usede to. For what they are, they are overpriced .

I was impressed with this simple intercom. Was very easy to set up. You just need to make sure that it is on the same channel and then once the call button is pressed the other device rings.Very clear and practical. I used mine in the annex that my mother in law lives in. She found it easy to use and saves her trying to sign to me what she wants, which isn’t always clear.Good value and would recommend. I’m sure there is several uses for this

I use this for communicating with someone 2 floors above me and is a great way to speak to someone without having the pick up the phone. You can also broadcast messages if you aren't looking for a response and are sure the receiver is listening. The signal is strong with these distances too with only a slight delay in response.There are a lot of buttons on this which I think makes its use a little more complicated than required but does allow additional functionality and the addition of up to 6 units.The unit is not the best-looking device and is very light which indicates poor build quality. If you are looking for a cost-effective device that does the job then this is the one to go for however don't expect premium quality.
