Dymo LabelManager 280 Label Maker | Rechargeable Handheld Label Printer with QWERTY Keyboard | Includes Black & White D1 Label Tape (12mm) | For Home & Office

I should have bought this years ago........... I already own the Dymo Label Writer 450 which prints paper labels, but I needed one that prints plastic waterproof labels. After a lot of research I opted for this Dymo LabelManager 280 for the following reasons. It has a QWERTY Keyboard (rather than an ABCDE Keyboard) and includes a dedicated Numbers row. It has a Rechargeable Battery plus a Dedicated Charger. It comes with two rolls of D1 Labels. It comes with a Quality, Dedicated, Zipped Carry Case. It has a large LCD Screen. As well as the Keyboard, it also has buttons on the front fascia for on-screen navigation, settings and printing. Notable Points...... The D1 Label widths that can be used with the 280 are 6mm, 9mm and 12mm. Dymo do wider D1 Labels but they will NOT fit the 280. Before inserting the D1 Label Cartridges, it is good practice to take up any slack in the Label's roll by winding the cartridge mechanism in the direction of the arrow a few times, otherwise the label will not feed correctly. Peeling the backing from the printed labels can be a bit fiddly, especially if you have large fingers. The backing strip is split in two and you need to fold the label back on itself longways to split the backing strip and then peel away the two strips. I have found it easier to use a pair of tweezers to grab the backing, rather than risk smudging with my chunky fingers. The basic features of the 280 are simple enough to perform without reading the instructions, however some tasks will involve reading the instructions. The keyboard is a pleasure to use and the data entered is very clear on the LCD Screen, however some of the symbols shown at the top of the screen are tiny and you have to look closely. Overall I am Very Impressed and Highly Recommend the DYMO 280.

WOW, Just WOW! I had a Dymo handheld years ago but never got on with it and it failed to power on after years of no use. I also had the Dymo PNP USB label printer but it was playing up after years of no use so I foolishly bought 2x more on ebay as a backup. All three has now failed and will not show up in the app as connected despite the batteries being charged. So I started looking for another Dymo as I was pleased with the print quality from the PNP printers. This one came up which was more than I wanted to pay but I took the chance. It's just arrived and I've managed to print a few basic labels that i wanted. I used the battery from one of my PNP printers which works fine. I inserted a colour D1 tape I already had and printed using the Basic font size 16 in bold. Very nice. It's intuitive to use as well. It's portable. Lightweight. Nice quality and nice to have case. It DOES come with a UK charger, USB lead and a two pin charger along with a 9mm black on clear tape x7m and a 12mm black on white tape x7m. It would have been nice if the display was backlit. I don't know what your printing needs are but I just want to label things like plugs etc and for that this is perfect.

Fast and easy to use with great results (once you've had a play to find the fonts and sizes that print best). It looks like it has a touch screen, but it's just a soft plastic sheet hiding real buttons which is a bit of a swizz. I'd be happier with normal buttons like its cheaper sibling. The screen doesn't light up either (as Dymo product images would have you believe) so it's quite hard reading the smaller information - type size especially... But it's its connectivity to a computer that sets it apart. The desktop software works well - but it's more Word than InDesign so the controls are pretty basic. You can't access proper weights and italics from font families, it just lists single regular weights and then allows you to choose a faux-italic or bold but this is probably ok given the unit's resolution shortcomings. Type is mostly jaggy and it can't really handle anything intricate. You can find sizes and fonts that work well with trial and error, but I'd rather have better resolution in the first place. I don't think anyone else does higher res either so it must be the 'acceptable standard' in the market place at this price point - at the moment. Over to you Dymo.

Good little printer. Replacing an older Dymo printer that started having 'low battery' issues after approx 7 years. Points that help me decide: - rechargeable battery which is included (unlike the 'B' branded printers) - handheld use or connected to PC. Dymo connect not the best but usable. - uses my previous D1 tapes (see note below). Some reviews mention this printer is not compatible with older D1 tapes - I have not had this issue and am happily using D1 tapes purchased 3-4 years ago. Note - I only have genuine tapes as the the compatible ones are hit and miss and I'm a sucker for consistency.

this is a great tool. I have so many different bits and bobs I needed some way of keeping track of and this has done it very well. I was able to label it all very effectively and thanks to this devices computer app I can add barcodes and other useful organisational bits to items to help me keep track of them. very pleased and definitely recommend to anyone who needs this kind of tool. however I do also recommend to get the vinyl tape to go with it as its standard tape is only really good for paper and card. Vinyl works great on tools and hardware.

Jag kvaddade en genom att försöka avbryta utskrift felaktigt, bandtrassel, motorn gick sönder. Gör inte det, dessutom, se till att kassetten hamnar rätt och att tapen ligger där den ska. Sen, otroligt bra resultat, mycket smidig och mångsidig upp till 19mm. Många varianter av tape.

Ordinata il tardo pomeriggio. Il giorno dopo era già arrivata a casa. Ottima la possibilità di acquisto rateale, di recente offerta da Amazon sino ad un massimo di 1.500 euro, ad interessi zero. Una valida iniziativa in tal senso. E' arrivata perfettamente imballata, in una confezione di stoffa rigida di colore nero, con all'interno un "anima" in gomma piuma espansa. Una buona alternativa per proteggere dagli urti ed altrettanto buona alternativa per chi, avesse necessità di trasporto casa-ufficio oppure ufficio casa oppure casa luogo di svago ecc. ecc. La stessa e gli accessori, perfettamente protetti da buste di Cellophane, si presentano bene e senza imperfezioni. La batteria, già con una dose di carica (una buona cosa, essendo al Litio in quanto, scarica, si deperirebbe in breve). Un buon accorgimento provvedere ad una ricarica prima dell'immissione in commercio. La stampante, è di un bel colore nero con bordi laterali argentati. Alcuni tasti, riportano comandi in inglese ma, non costituiscono un limite... si tratta di parole che, oramai, fanno parte della lingua italiana. La stessa (mod. LabelManager 420P) ha la possibilità di impiegare e stampare, nastri Dymo ed equivalenti di varie misure ovvero, 6mm. - 9 mm. - 12 mm. - 19 mm. Nulla valigetta porta stampante, si apprezzano, in omaggio, quattro nastri Dymo x 7 mt. in omaggio. Nella fattispecie un 6 mm. nero su trasparente; 9 mm. nero su giallo; un 12 mm nero su bianco; un 19 mm. nero su rosso. In tal senso, la valigetta è predisposta per il trasporto di quattro di essi, come scorta. Si apprezza altresì, la presenza di un doppio caricabatteria, uno con spina italiana ed uno con spina americana che, comunque, con apposito riduttore, è facilmente reperibile a poco prezzo. In tal senso, si può affermare che, all'interno, vi sono due carica batterie (quello di tipo americano) può fungere di scorta. Presente, naturalmente, il cavetto USB per la connessione al PC. del tipo A (Maschio) e B (femmina). Il tutto, completato da una buona batteria al Litio, molto leggera e compatta. La stampante, una volta inserita òla batteria, si è subito accesa e l'elemento di carica, funziona perfettamente. La quantità di carica, viene visualizzata sul display anche a stampante spenta. Il motivo della scelta di questo modello, è il display illuminato. Stavo acquistando il mod. 280 ma, leggendo le recensioni e, ascoltando i consigli di alcuni recensori, ho optato per questo modello, decisamente più completo e, con la possibilità, di nastro anche da 19 mm., non presente sul modello 280 che non ha, oltretutto, il display illuminato. Si, ok mi direte... costa almeno 60-70 euro in più del mod. 280 ma, come ho detto all'inizio, Amazon mette a disposizione la rateazione quindi... 60-70 euro, non vi peserebbero a fronte di un modello nettamente migliore. Ho voluto fare subito la recensione, come consiglia sempre Amazon quindi, mi riservo di apportare integrazioni alla recensione se,dovessi rilevare (mi auguro di no), problemi durante il funzionamento. Per chi ha piacere e cura anche del lato estetico, stampante, consigliatissima. Un saluto INTEGRAZIONE: Ho provveduto ad installare il Software con il CD al seguito. Si è installato immediatamente. Il programma è molto intuitivo e, l'uso della Stampante, che a prima vista sembra difficile, è una cosa facilissima. Ho avuto qualche problema con il nastro da 6 mm. problema non imputabile alla Stampante ma alle ridotte dimensioni dello stesso. Necessario avere unghie lunghe ed affilate (prerogativa femminile) in quanto è difficilissimo togliere la pellicola protettiva dalla parte adesiva, e molto spesso, si rischia di rovinare l'etichetta appena stampata. Necessario ingegnarsi in qualche modo. Bellissimo il fatto di poter stampare da PC, sfruttando tutti i caratteri di scrittura, cosa molto utile che permette di incontrare tutti i gusti estetici di scrittura.

Dee labelprinter blinkt uit in gebruiksgemak en kwaliteit. Accu erin, cassette met de gewenste labeltape erin (6, 9, 12 of 19 mm. Worden alle geleverd bij de kit die ik heb aangeschaft), tekst schrijven, printen, knippen en klaar. Via internet DYMO label v 8.0 gedownload en gelijk upgraded naar v 8.7. Mijn LM 420p verbonden met m'n computer middels bijgeleverd kabeltje, programma gestart en de LM 420p aangezet en klaar om een text te maken. Via je computer keuze uit vele lettertypen. Als je label klaar is op knopje 'printen' drukken en that's it. Wordt geleverd in een handig 'tasje' waarin alles opgeborgen kan worden. Kind kan de was doen en de kwaliteit is prima. 5 sterren.

使い勝っては良い。パソコンからデータを送れば日本語も出せます。ただし、付属のアダプターが日本のコンセントに合いません。私は自作しましたがそこは注意が必要です。出品者も気をつけて欲しい。
