I have several peaces of this brand of furniture and it is solid and well finished. Was easy to assemble and looks good As you can see I have managed to fit a WiFi printer on one of the shelves Value for money 5 star.

Great cornet unit, matches my other Corona unit perfectly. Fits perfectly into my corner area and looks great. I assembled it myself, took several hours to be honest, but worth it. The instructions are ok, like all these self-assembly instructions, 90% no problem, but some crucial ones are a bit ambiguous in the pictures. One picture is plainly wrong, advising to use a part A, yet showing a screw, yet A is a dowel. That was an easy one to spot. The tricky one was when you place the front stack onto the unit, when this stack is assembled it is not clear which way around the shelf-drops are located, and I could very easily have placed them upside down. Anyway, for the price, fantastic.

I am female, but quite competent at assembling late pack furniture. This unit needs two people to assemble, especially in the early stages. It would have been too heavy for me to lift and hold while trying to assemble it alone. I couldn't have done it without help. Some of the instructions are not clear. An example is this - instructions state that you have five shelves, four of which are the same and one is different. There is no difference. The top shelf needs to be turned the opposite way and screwed from the top, while the others are screwed from the bottom. Once assembled, though, this is a lovely unit and well worth the time and money. Im quite delighted with it.

Solid pine wood, and once it is put together very sturdy you would think it was bought from a furniture store ready made, I can’t emphasise enough how amazing this furniture is and how much of a good buy it is, it looks fantastic, solid and stunning looking wood and it lasts, my parents have had there’s for years and it has lasted perfectly, I encourage anyone to buy this. The only thing I would say is when building it, it can take a little longer then it says on the box (this is because it has entrance screws to make it so sturdy) and use an electric screwdriver to save your hand.

I thought it was about time that I reviewed my experiences with the corona range of which I have assembled: Five of these I purchased from Amazon 2 came from other outlets. Corona Entertainment Unit, Corona Coffee Table, Corona Small Sideboard, Corona Bedside Chest,1 drawer,1 door, 2 Corona Corner Units, Corona 4'6" Buffet Hutch. My first piece was the Entertainment unit which I assembled dry (no glue). I found the colour for too dark and uneven which did not show the units true potential. After disassembling the unit I removed the wax from each piece using white spirit and plenty of clean rag. The wax comes off like brown sludge and after removing it the timber has a beautiful light silvery gold sheen. If the unit has draws and doors it will be time well spent in cleaning out all the crevices in the mouldings. When all the pieces have the same colour I lightly sand each piece using P600 Silicon Carbide wet or dry sandpaper (use dry/go with grain) taking special care to remove all the machining marks on doors and draw mouldings. Each piece is then given several coats of Colron Refined Clear Finishing Wax taking care not to wax edges of parts that will be joined together or the wood glue will not stick. The whole unit is then re-assembled using wood glue and the supplied screws. I do not use the supplied black disks as I think they distract from the overall appearance. Any imperfection I fill with hard wax of a matching colour, then finish the whole unit’s off with several coats of Colron Finishing wax. I have used this procedure on all seven units and when done they all match and are a joy to behold with a silky sheen. I am glad that I carried out the above procedure as the variation in colour and finish of these unit’s varies enormously, one piece would not matter but seven pieces in one room and they would stick out like a sore thumb. Most of the finishing products I used can be purchased from Amazon. A tip when assembling the corner units is to fix the shelf’s to the back first not the way shown where the side panels are fixed first and will send you mad.

OK so other reviews that say this was difficult to put together I just don't get. It was easy to put together, maybe about an hr and a half for me, it's just that its not the best design so a lot of things didn't line up great. Not saying it isn't functional, its all together OK and its sturdy enough, its just that there are a few gaps and the cosmetic parts that went on in the end aren't perfect. But hey for the price I am happy and it still looks good in the corner. Only that any carpenter visiting the house may take a glance and have a chuckle.
