Almost bent the crimper squeezing to hard. Be gentle.

The tool is awful. Out of at least 30 tries, 2 worked properly. The eyelets don’t bend properly. I’ve tried different tools, but they aren’t working either. Unfortunately I ordered this set earlier than I was ready to use it, so the return window has closed.

The grommet/eyelet crimping pliers in this kit are among some of the better ones I have used. The high-end pliers require only one crimp/press action and they provide multiple crimped edges around the full circumference of the eyelet. If you read the instructions online on the Amazon product page (none with the kit), you will understand that you have to crimp and rotate to a new position multiple times to get a complete crimp all the way around the eyelet. That's not ideal, but once you understand that, it doesn't take too much extra time.The kit comes with multiple grommets and the eyelets, but there are not an even number of grommets vs. eyelets, and it is very unclear (at least it was to me) which eyelets match up to what grommets. I finally arranged them by size and that is when I realized that you have way more grommets than eyelets (at least in my kit). I had a plastic organizer that I modified to hold the pliers and the grommets/eyelets, as the plastic bags that all the loose pieces come in are really just one-time-use packaging.The kit could obviously be better if they included a plastic case for a few extra bucks to hold everything and maybe some written instruction that come with the kit rather than having to come back to Amazon's product page to see how to use it?

Very flimsy, pliers bent with just hand pressure from just a couple grommets. Now won't even work, without even one project complete!

These grommet pliers are disappointing. Even gentle use feels like it's putting undue pressure on the tool. I fear it will break sooner rather than later.I dont need a grommet pliers often, but when I do need them, I need them to last and not break in the middle of something I'm trying to do. I'll be getting another set of pliers to replace these, and in the meantime I'll only use these for small jobs that I can risk a less than quality tool on.
