At the low price these are a bargain. My only criticism is that they are a loose fit but a squeeze with a pair of pliers sorts this problem out.

Sosupplies 5 X Female 5 X Male TV Aerial Connector Plug / Socket Aerial Coaxial Coax Cable:I ordered one pack of 5 X Female and 5 X Male TV aerial plugs/sockets sold by Chameleon.I received 1 X Female and 9 X Male TV aerial plugs/sockets.That was frustrating as I actually needed 4 Females and already had a supply of Males to sort out my aerial system.Can someone please explain to the person responsible for packing these items that the Male plugs/sockets are smaller in diameter than the Female plugs/sockets and can fit into the Female plugs/sockets.Another point to consider is that these plugs/sockets, sold by Chameleon, do not have solder free clamping screws, so that means extra work and time getting the soldering iron out (if you have one). However, these plugs/sockets are quite low costs, but you get the quality that you pay for.I have discarded the lot and used plugs/sockets, with clamping screws, supplied by electromart instead, which seem to work perfectly.From my experience, my advice is to buy a better quality with solder free clamping screws from a more efficient supplier. It will cost a bit more, but we are talking about very low costs items here and it is worth avoiding the frustration by spending the insignificant extra money.

My mistake .. I was wanting all male connectors.Everything a bit flimsy but does what they are meant to I suppose.What I did find though is that I tried to replace the connectors that were sealed onto a coax cable ... and the coax cable was very thin (and of poor quality it has to be said) and these connectors are really designed for something a little thicker as they effectively just 'wobbled around' at the end of the cable and did not really make a good connection. So .. I would have thought their performance is wholly dependent on the thickness of the coax.

These connectors are not the very highest quality type. They are very light and I think they may be made out of aluminium rather than a heavier metal like steel. I have used female connectors that have a grub screw which can be used to secure the coaxial central wire within the connector. These connectors do not have this fixing. Having all that said, they do the job just fine however and the price is a bargain.

These are cheap by comparison with my local shop retailers. So cheap that I placed orders from 2 different Amazon market-place suppliers for 5 x female + 5 x male UK TV Aerial Connectors for comparison. Both packs arrived in less than one week. Sosupplies had their name on the plastic bag address label. No paperwork delivered with either order. This was by far the better product, so well worth the extra 11 pence! Cheap and cheerful, light weight (aluminium?) metal, but they work fine for me. If there were clearly a better quality product at twice the price I would go for that.

These were not required in the end but anyone buying should not consider them as a standard plug in at both ends, they are not.One end is a standard plug in but the other end seems to be where you would unscrew it, pass a wire through and then screw it back so it is not a conventional female to male in my opinion.As it happened I did not need to reverse the fitting and so I have used them although taken one end apart I looked at it and considered it to be fiddly and more for the professional.

These look OK in the pictures, but they are a bit fiddly to connect the coax cable to - especially in a loft space. The central pin has a solid end meaning you can't push the central wire through to the end of the plug. You have to cut the central core quite short and this is held in place by a small grub screw. They also feel a bit flimsy compared with others I have used in the past. However they are installed and seem to be doing their job so far.
