ROU52050 Block Wire Brush with Handle

I got this to remove dried in egg stains after kids pelted my house at Halloween. I was planning to buy a cleaning solution to apply and scrub off. However this brush took the dried egg stain off without needing anything. I did use my own mixture of vinegar and salt in a spray bottle for the very stubborn areas. But really it'd have been fine without that. Took the stains off like a hot knife through butter. A Royal King Tiger of wire brushes!!

The handle fits the fist with the solemn promise of hard labour. The bristles aren't so much wires as they are an organised mob of tempered steel anarchists, each one dedicated to removing what you don't want and leaving a faint, gratifying score mark of your victory behind. I applied it to a garden gate that had embraced rust with the enthusiasm of a convert. The brush did not persuade. It did not negotiate. It issued a series of short, sharp, and very loud decrees. In minutes, the rust was a memory and my arm felt pleasantly connected to the Victorian era. The block shape gets right into corners, like a determined terrier after a rat of corrosion. It’s brutally simple, utterly effective, and asks for nothing but elbow grease and the occasional mutter of defiance. Five stars. My garage now fears me, and my gate gleams with the quiet shame of the newly disciplined. A masterpiece of controlled violence.

It’s been used for cleaning cement off, rust removing, and moss removing between paving. The support strut in the middle of the handle is a bit of a nuisance, it’s ok, but the handle itself seems solid enough and I may cut the support out. I would have given it 5 stars if the wire had been a little less coarse, but the wires are strong and haven’t bent yet.

For heavy duty outdoor cleaning … works very well. Would recommend.

Really pleased with this brush. Easy to use, comfortable to hold and great to use outdoors on persistent moss.

Brush seemed well made and wires are strong, maybe a littel too stiff as they easily break when used to brush stone, e.g. to brush off cement from bricks or stone.
