Roughly made - heavy
My puppy had managed to escape from a previous crate and then chewed through its plastic tray - so this one has a good sturdy metal tray. I have scratched my hand several times on the steel bars which are roughly finished. The inside bed is quite flimsy so needs a bt of carped or something under it.

A latch / bolt broke off at the spot welds which are too insubstantial

Fantastic product. Fantastic price.
This crate is fantastic! I really can't fault it. I have a very strong boisterous staffie & it's plenty big enough for her & all her toys/food & water bowls & she still has bags of room left. It's a good quality product which seems strong & well made & is very easy to use. It took seconds to put up & is fully collapsible (though my dog ate the carry handle on sight before I'd attached it so I won't be transporting it anywhere!!!). It comes with a fleecy liner with plastic backing too. The manufacturers include a mini guide to crate training which was really helpful. My dog fell in love with her crate at first sight (partly because I hid goodies in it & locked her out of it making her desperate to get inside) & now chooses to sleep in there rather than in her bed. My top tips are:* Make it fun & exciting (NEVER a punishment). I try to get my dog to associate her crate with good things by hiding treats in amongst her bedding/in socks etc for her to find when she gets inside.* Put a pair of your dirty socks/a slipper/old t-shirt inside. Having your smell around will be a comfort when you're gone* Put her favourite toy in with her* Get some cheap fleecy blankets so your dog can get comfortable* Put a blanket over the top so your dog feels safe & secure* Make sure your dog has water to drink* And most importantly... Stuff a Kong chew toy with her favourite treats (I use finely chopped liver, sausage, peanut butter, carrot & brown bread) & freeze it. It will take hours for your dog to get the tasty contents out. Chewing also relaxes dogs. Put it in the crate just before you leave so your dog associates you leaving with getting a yummy treat & is kept busy until your return.UPDATE: I have just bought a 2nd slightly smaller crate for travelling; I bought it from another manufacturer as this brand was out of stock in the smaller size. It was almost the same price but EXTREMELY poor quality, so much so that it would've been dangerous to put my dog in (sharp edges, weak bars, bad joins/clasps, huge gaps between pieces, loose bottom etc). It was potentially lethal. I have now sent that one back & emailed the manufacturer of this wonderful crate for details of their next delivery for that size. Please be careful buying a crate for your dog, there are some extremely dodgy dangerous ones out there!

Better than I hoped or expected.
Very pleased with this cage, very sturdy and well made, delighted how easy it was to set up, it’s all fastened together and you just move the sides and top in position, took about a minute. Freddie my Lab pup destroyed the bedding but hey ho it’s what he does, replaced it with his bed and everything is fine, I definitely recommend this product.

Definitely a sturdy product
We got his for our cat....i know it says 'dog puppy cage' but our cat is an indoor cat and in summer it seemed unfair to keep her cooped up indoors and/or the times we want to have the doors open she ends up confined to a room. Initially we put her in her small cat-carry case and she actually is ok in that but it was confined and i felt she needed something bigger and airier so ordered this! It arrived promptly and is good quality - i have a couple of minor things i'm not keen on - firstly one of the catches was stuck over one edge when i first opened it so it took me a while to figure out why it wouldn't open up as the instructions ARE really simplistic and it is really easy to construct/fold out. Once i'd realised that it was simple. The second issue is just because its a foldable crate it folds flat of course so you have to push the end panels in in order to collapse it - and they get stuck on the sides (due to snug fitting) which leads to it being a bit of a tussle to do - pushing, then pulling a side out a bit and pushing the side in at the same time so i can see that the epoxy will possibly be scratched off over a period of time. Also its pretty darn heavy folded or unfolded and one handle is not enough to carry it properly ! In hindsight i could've got the smaller version and she'd have been ok but this does do the trick. She likes the bed in the bottom and lays out in it so from the cat's point of view - its all good ! I would defo recommend it for the cost and sturdiness.

rubbish return policy
Dog cage arrived as it should. It was too big so had to return. The return process was a nightmare. Took 3 days off work to wait for a courier as Evri could not give me a specific date or time. Unhelpful Amazon staff that didn’t seem to care and would just rebook the item for pickup the next day. Which also meant printing new labels for each return.Be wary of anything Evri.

Dog crate
We bought this with training our dogs to be crate trained in case they hurt themselves and also in case they needed a ‘safe’ place for fireworks and loud noises. Our first came crate trained at 7 months, our next one was a rescue and hated the crate despite nice treats. She was doing herself more harm than good. With our first puppy the breeder recommend we put him in the crate in the kitchen with newspaper for toileting then shutting the door and leaving him to whine all night. He now hates the crate. With our new puppy the breeder said to put him in the crate straight away with a Kong smeared with peanut butter at bed times and in our bedroom. When he whined for the toilet in the middle of the night we could attend to him immediately. Now over a year on he loves his crate and sleeps happily.I would highly recommend a crate and properly getting your dog used to it.
