Works great
This product does work well, it is a good means of seeing that optical fibre passes light, however you’d need to have the meter with it for any kind of real accurate reading, that said it worked ok for what I wantedThe only down side was, you may need to buy a selection of adaptors to fit on various styles of optical connections.Very pleased with the item and will eventually buy the meter to go with it as well

Great little device and thanks for the spare part!
Insanely bright which is a risk at times if you’re bot careful. But it does a good job. I dropped it and smashed the ceramic collar, making the adapter loose and causing intermittent light transmission. Luckily, the packaging included a spare so top marks for that! Easy fix and working great again. Take the batteries out to avoid accidental draining, which does happen.

Nice and sturdy
Great light for checking fiber optic cables. It's a really bright light and is great for finding breaks in patch leads and great for checking to see which fiber is which

Works perfectly.
Saved me hours of work tracing a fibre cable. Such a simple product but would be in every IT departments toolkit. Obviously it's not going to give you readings but for tracing a bunch of fibre cables it's perfect.

Very bright…
Has been used for faulting in a fibre network. Solidly built, comes with a nice pouch, and has worked well for the last month. Doesn’t drain the batteries too quickly and will hopefully continue to work well. It’s very noticeable with breaks and bends, even in bright sun light.When compared to the 30km model that another engineer purchased there was no visible differences in performance.

Looks and feels ok and locks in ok only used with a small patch lead to test it but it fitted fine and good light output on the cable end

Great for faulting fttp
Purchased this to help fault fttp runs as the ones provided by company are not bright enough or strong enough on long runs .
