Good morning, Thank you for your message. Product should be used for fixing tiles in areas subject to high temperatures, such as fire surrounds, behind boilers, ranges, cookers and radiators. Only a thin joint is required (max. 3mm), ensuring that a repaired tile does not stand proud. Vitcas Tile Adhesive can also be used with stone, granite, marble and slate but heavy item must be physically supported. For uneven surfaces where a thicker joints is needed use Vitcas HB60. Coverage for the tile adhesive is 1.25msq per 5kg tub

Q: Can anyone who has used this for some time comment on whether the tiles have stayed on the wall?

Used this to attach uncalibrated slate tiles to fireplace chimney breast over five years ago. Only way they are coming off is with hammer and masonry chisel.
