Can't deny it - these recipes are easy to prepare, healthy and yum!
I'll be completely honest, I find Hemsley + Hemsley and their branding strategy really annoying AND YET.... their recipes are actually amazing!I looked at their other book but the recipes in their other book seemed a bit tricky and with loads of tricky ingredients but this one suits me really well as most of the recipes don't call for anything too unusual and are quick to make! Me and my husband are converts to the "less carbs more healthy fats" way of eating and both feel the health benefits so this book is ideal. We've stopped eating mashed potato in favour of mashed caulifower which is crazy yum, quicker and healthier! We made the Courgette and Cannellini bean "lasagne".... ie no pasta involved. We were not sure what it would taste like and were a big hesitant as we both love pasta! But it was crazy yum! I added an Omega Seed sprinkle over the top for extra goodness but it was soo tasty! Another winner! The only thing it might be worth mentioning is that I recently bought a proper food processor and a spiralizer which makes light work of all the dishes... if you don't have the machinery, it would be fine but probably a bit more hard work!

A complete convert!
After reading a review by 'Emma' against the other book - 'The Art of Eating Well', I have bought both books and am an absolute convert. After years of struggling with my weight (low fat - urgh!) I can honestly say that I have lost a few pounds just eating delicious, tasty food and truly I have to remind myself to eat as I am never really hungry. Even better, my teen daughter (who I thought would resist) has embraced the way of eating and even started shopping and cooking (shock) because the Hemsley's are 'cool' and inspirational. I have happily boiled my (organic) chicken bones for several hours and enjoyed the benefits in my cooking since the weekend. To be fair, there is a fairly hefty outlay if you want to do this 100%, but I think one can do it gradually, introducing a few recipes here and there as the store-cupboard builds. I have been told to cut back on my salt and so am using smaller amounts of sea salt rather than table salt and the difference in flavour is quite astonishing - a little goes a long way. I don't know if it's linked but I am sleeping better too - possibly because of the lower carb loading! Thinking further about cost, back when I was a child we ate like this - organic was the norm and yes food was an expensive part of our budget. It occurs to me that it has only become cheaper at the expense to our health and our waistlines. Got to go - the chicken soup is calling!!

Great book, just a few issues....
Based on what I've read so far this is an excellent book full of wonderful uncomplicated recipes. I have only given it 4 stars As always I find these books give some tips that are great and some are just not practical for many of us such as buying biodynamic certified produce (?) and getting the provenance of all our foods - easy in London not so easy in Cumbria! Also the Bone Broth which seems to be the back bone of many recipes is slightly off putting as It will be very expensive to cook a batch of this for 12 hours every week! So I will be using normal stock or water as is suggested at times. However for teaching us how to cook better with natural unprocessed foods this book is a winner and I want to cook everything and look forward to the journey of re teaching myself to cook this way. Foods are obtainable from most high streets if you can't afford the expensive home grown organic grass fed sustainable etc ..... Give it a go

Does exactly what it promises - good, simple recipes
When I first purchased this book I was a little daunting by the huge list of ingredients suggested for the one week plan. I skipped this and persevered straight to the recipes. Once stocked up on herbs, spices and other storecupboard essentials, most recipes don't actually use a long list of ingredients. The first recipe I made, the courgette and cannellini bean lasagne, was foolproof - easy to prepare and yet tasted like hours of work had gone into it. So far I've only made this and the Mexican beef and carrot burgers - both have become staple recipes I'll make time and again.A great book if you want your food to be good and simple - easy to follow recipes, beautiful pictures; what more could you want in a cookbook?

Inventive, healthy cooking.
I love the Hemsley sisters' recipes, and although their first book is my favourite, this is also a great book. I have enjoyed the recipes for 'Sunshine Eggs', made with eggs, coconut oil, tumeric, garlic and spring onion, and 'Coconut Berry Chia Pudding', made with coconut milk, fresh berries, chia seeds and raw honey, as delicious breakfasts. Other favourites are, 'Lentil Bake', flavoured with Smoked Paprika, and packed full of vegetables, and flavour, and tonight I made the 'Caulironi Cheese', made with Amaranth and Cauliflower - both very tasty. My personal first choice would always be their first book, 'The Art of Eating Well', but this is a good complimentary set of recipes, and has useful sections on menu planning. I will need more time to become as familiar with this book as I am the first.

The recipes were nice and interesting on paper but when it came down ...
The recipes were nice and interesting on paper but when it came down to incorporating it into my daily life it wasn't so easy finding the ingredients and the recipes were a little too complicated for my liking

Really fantastic healthy recipes
An instant hit! I got this cook book because I cook a lot of paleo recipes (the faddy way of saying I avoid gluten, dairy, sugar) and although this book isn't billed as paleo, there are loads of fantastic recipes that are healthy, allergen-free and, most importantly, incredibly tasty. Unlike paleo cookbooks, they also tend to use quite a lot of ingredients you can find in any shop. Loads of new family favourites such as the chicken comfort pie and beef siningang, and also some really nice sweet treats/ desserts.

Amazing!
I decided to try eating clean and was having a hard time finding a good recipie book to help me pn my way. I tried searching blogs and magazines online and I found some pretty uninspired recipies or was super time consuming and required a lot.of specialty ingredients that were both hard to get and expensive in my small city. I found an article online reccomending another cookbook of theirs and thought that was the cookbook I was buying. I'm so happy to have made that mistake. The food is simple but so good. Clean up is a breeze and the shopping lists and meal plans are so helpful. Its seasonal variations and vegetarian, vegan, and meat options are amazing and easily customizable. The directions are so easy to understand and follow. I am so in love with this book I have been reccomending it loudly and often to everyone.
