My almost five year old is dry at night after just a week!
My son is almost five and, although he has been dry during the day since he was about two, we've struggled to get him dry at night because he is an incredibly deep sleeper. His nappies were so wet in the morning that they'd often soaked through. This alarm felt like a last resort, and I was sceptical that it would work. The idea of the alarm is that it trains the brain to wake up your little one when they start to wee in the night, by vibrating and making a loud noise; this stops them mid-wee and then they're meant to go to the toilet to finish. It was loud enough to wake us up too, so we were able to get up and help him.My son wasn't keen on the alarm for the first couple of nights and he refused to go to sleep wearing it, but he's such a deep sleeper that we were able to attach it to him once he'd fallen asleep. It worked amazingly well - it's so sensitive that it sets off at the very first sign of moisture, and we could hurry him (calmly) to the loo to finish off. We've only had this alarm for a week and he's already had two completely dry nights in a row! In fact, on these two nights, he woke up (once at 4am, then this morning at 7am), took himself to the loo, and went back to bed. So his brain is obviously now recognising the signal and successfully waking him up. It has blown my mind! There's a bit of trial and error to it. The clip itself is fiddly to get on, but once you've got the knack of it, it's fine. The wire was too long in our opinion; you're meant to feed it through the pyjama top and then attach the alarm to their arm, but there was still excess wire and we were worried about it going around his neck. Simple fix: we trained the wire down his trouser leg instead, and fixed the alarm to his ankle. Here's what we did / my tips:1) Wait till they're sleeping to attach the alarm2) Use pants, not nappies or pull ups.3) Buy at least two mattress protectors, we used these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B8P3L95K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details4) Explain everything to them first. Do practise runs with the alarm before they go to bed (you can set it off by licking your finger and touching the alarm), it'll get them used to the noise and know what to do when it goes off in the night5) When it goes off, get up with them and take them to the toilet to finish their wee, and stay really calm6) Have lots of spare pyjama bottoms and pants at the ready. Change them into fresh PJs and pants (pro tip: attach the clip to their pants before putting them on, it's much less fiddly!)7) Get them back into bed, with a fresh mattress protector if needed8) Repeat as needed!9) Give them loads of praise in the morning, even if it was a bit rocky. The alarm comes with a pack of stickers. We said to my son that for every three sunshine (i.e. success) stickers - they didn't have to be in a row - he'd get some chocolate10) Don't forget to buy them the chocolate!! :-DI'm only putting so much effort into this review because the product is genuinely amazing and effective, and I also know how stressful getting your kids dry at night can be. Hope this is useful. Good luck!

It just worked, 5yr old completely dry!
This little alarm just did the job. Long review but as others have said, it's great to have advice on this subject!I read the reviews which seemed positive. The alarm itself is smaller than I expected (a good thing) so it was not cumbersome - I clipped it to my 5yr olds pj bottoms. Its not the most hi-tech thing ever but in a way I think this helps the price stay sensible and it worked brilliantly. We tried since around 3 then really tried from 4 for dry nights. She was completely dry in the day but would have a heavy wet nappy every morning without fail. I partly believed my daughter was just lazy when she woke up (she is known in our family as 'lady muck'!) but I realised since using this she genuinely would wee in her sleep as the alarm would go off in the middle of the night and she seemed to be dead to the world. It's super sensitive and catches the second there is wetness which helps. I worried my daughter might freak out about it or refuse to wear it, but she was fully on board (we made it an exciting thing and lots of praise and a laugh with her big sister) and other than being a little startled the first couple of times it went off, she was improved within a week, almost dry within two (couple of dribbles) then completely dry after that. We were very strict with it (as in, didn't skip any nights even if we stayed with grandma etc) and I made sure to quietly get up with her, finish her wee on the toilet and change pants if needed (We started using pads in the bed but they just got scrumpled, then used pull ups over knickers with the alarm attached to the knickers, as we had a few leaks in the bed here and there). The sensor clip, wire and device didn't seem to bother her at all.Great device! I have a dry little girl, good luck!

BUY THIS!!!!
This is the best thing I have ever bought on Amazon. We have 2 boys, aged 5 and 7. The 7 year old was close to being dry, but this sorted him out within 2 weeks and 3 months on we have no had 1 accident. He was brilliant about waking up and it just worked so quickly! The 5 year old was far wetter and always had a really full nappy. Once the 7 year old was done we moved on to him and within maybe 2 weeks it clicked for him too. He did have a small regression, but we popped it back on and now he's been dry for 3 weeks.HIGHLY recommend this brilliant product :)

A great little device
I read the reviews for this product and was extremely hopeful it could help my little boy age 6 who had barely ever had a dry night and I’d be had it was random. He never woke in the night to use the toilet. We started the waking him method but it never worked he would still wake up wet and it felt cruel.I saw this product and thought I would give it a go. The alarm was loud enough to wake him and us he would get out of bed finish off his wee, we would change him and he got back in bed. He only ever wet once a night and the amount got less and less which was great.During week 2 he had a couple of dry nights which was amazing!! I had read some reviews which said by week 3 they had cracked it. This hasn’t been the case for my son. During the 12 weeks he had spouts of dryness the longest he went for was 3 weeks and we were so happy but then he would have random wet nights still.I think it’s prudent to remember that your child isn’t going to be the same as others and positive results for them are still amazing. We are beyond the 12 weeks now and he went almost 4 weeks this time. Unfortunately he got a bad cold and he was wet for 2 nights. However we will continue and this is a mark difference and we are on the right path and the alarm has worked wonders. I am very hopeful that soon he will be dry all the time 😌Word of advice from me is to also buy the bed wetting shorts. They button at the bottom and don’t leak into their bed, so an easy change during the night!! They are comfortable too which helps.Good luck to anyone starting on the journey it’s worth it to see your child so happy about having dry nights!
