AV Medium - Thinner 60ml

For years I have been using various methods for thinning and several home-brew recipes; everything from matt medium blended with water and dish soap to Vallejos' own stand-alone airbrush thinner or flow improver . This is the first time I've bothered to use Vallejo's medium thinner and it is fantastic. It thins the paint nicely without the pigments separating, which has been a horror show. Especially with hard-to- cover colours like yellows or flesh. This stuff comes highly recommended by me, for whatever that is worth, but I wish I had tried it years ago. FYI, I would still use a very small amount of water in the mix, but if you are using a wet palette, that shouldn't be an issue.

Very pleased with this product

Does as advertised, diluting Vallejo acrylics without the loss of adhesion you get with using water. The paint flows better, adheres well and can help achieve a nice uniform, flat finish. A little goes a long way, and the bottle has a nice, easily controlled dropper so it’s very easy to add just a small amount as needed. Paint appears to clean from brushes more easily if the brush is dipped in the thinner first too, which is a nice bonus.This is my first time using a dedicated thinner for acrylics as I’ve always used water in the past, I can say that I won’t be using water again as this is far better.

Works well and is decent value for money. It doesn't affect the consistency of the paint nor the finish. It's nice and big, and will last a while.

Also used with AK Army Helo Drab to good effect despite reading somewhere that Ak and Vallejo products may be incompatible due to their constituents

Easy to clean airbrush drying quick

Lasts a lifetime and does what it is supposed to do. Classic item, so to speak. One of the essentials in the airbrush box.
