Luca and Harper 🫶🏼
I really loved this book. Love the fake dating trope in romance books. Luca has so much on his shoulders, so much to do to to keep him busy but when Harper entered his life he found someone to be by his side no matter what. Harper found someone that makes her feel wanted and found someone who takes herself serious. I loved the chemistry for these characters. I can't wait to read the 2nd book of the series.

Cute fast read
I absolutely adored this book and read this in one sitting. I love Ki's writing, it made it very addicting. I cannot wait until the next release! This story follows Harper and Luca, two college students, who blackmail each other into fake dating. Harper is crushing on a baseball player, but she's assigned to do her internship with the football team. So she lies to her professor and tells them she's dating a football player on the team so she can change to the baseball team. She gets what she wants, but when Luca finally finds out, he decides to blackmail Harper into pretending just so she can help him with an injury he has.The way this couple was so freaking adorable. SHE MAKES HIM BLUSH!! HE BLUSHES! The way she stands up for herself and knows what she deserves. The way he is always overworking himself to take care of others so he falls so much more in love with her because she's the only one who takes care of him. UGH...I just ate this up.Overall: 4.5Spice: 2.5Tropes:Sports RomanceSmall TownFake DatingGrumpy x SunshineSlow Burn

Perfect cute fluff read
Someone tell me why it took me so long to finally read this book?!?! I don’t think I have ever read a book like this before. Luca was such a breath of fresh air! He is such a sweetheart and works himself endlessly to provide for his family, even ignoring an injury so he can keep working and avoid missing playing time so he can declare for the draft. Luca and Harper, an acquaintance studying to be a physical therapist, both come to an agreement that he will fake date her, so she can switch a school project she was assigned, and she will rehab his injured knee. We all know what happens when you fake date, suddenly feelings become all too real. ☺️This book will have you squealing like a teenager and kicking your feet in the air!! It is a perfect cute little fluff read! 🥰

for me
The majority of this book was awesome for me. I loved it until near the end. The third act break up was so annoying. For one I’m getting tired of every book have a third act break up that is so predictable but whatever. Now it was like a four star for me until the break up. The breakup kind of ruined it for me. I hated how the guy acted, he had horrible communication skills but he did go to a therapist and he was doing better. I will say it was a more realistic portray. Which is nice but at the same time I’m like eh. If you know what I mean. The epilogue time jump was huge. I was very shocked. Like they were barely back together and bomb five years later. I wish we saw more of a friendship between the couple. Like besides the guys injury they didn’t really hang out like we didn’t just get a conversation of them getting to know each other. Like to me it seems like it was either about his injury or sex. Now I will say it wasn’t bad. I think overall it was a average book but did slightly disappoint me. I do think it is slightly overhyped. Like I was expecting so much and people talk about how obsessed they are with the guy and for me it’s eh. Like at most I like him but I’m not even close to obsessed with him after reading the entirety of the book. I think in the beginning I can kind of see that but not after everything. I know don’t if I would recommend it, it would depend on the person. I’m not sure if I would read other books in this series assuming there is going to be more. Overall the book was good but disappointing and just average. 3/5

Decent College Book
Harper and LucaA sports romance where the MMC isn’t/never was a manwhore? and is neurodivergent with an immediately respectful and understanding FMC no explanation needed beyond a conversation about boundaries?Sign me the fork up.I didn’t realize how weary I was of alphaholes until I read this. It was extremely healing from the high level toxic masculinity in some other books. I like how sweet and smoothly this book went. It was just a very calming vibe the whole way through. All the characters seemed well fleshed as well, not just one dimensional pop in characters. It was safe to assume they weren’t in certain scenes because they are also full fledged people living their own Main Character lives.Hate Elio tho! Zero redemption in my eyes!

Lights you up
This was such a lovely read - from start to finish it gave me warm, cozy vibes that would be perfect for a beach or airplane read (in the best ways). The characters are well developed, I love Harper as a sunshine character with depth. I also love that there was neurodiverse representation with Luca - a character I can relate to without his neurodiversity being his main struggle OR defining characteristic.

I Need More Coastal U Books!
I adored this story...Ki is a wonderful author and her writing style just pulls you in and gets you invested. I loved Harley - she was a kind and sweet person and helped Luca through his struggles (even though in the beginning they were just using each other). And Luca? He is one of my favorite main characters ever...such an endearing and refreshing character. Luca was struggling throughout this book and I was rooting for him to find happiness with Harley. I love books with a college background and this one was no exception. I bought the 2nd book in the series already and I hope Ki gives us more, because I escaped into this story and need more of it!

I wish I could read about them forever
oh god, i think i found one of the best books i ever read.really, say that i enjoyed met harper and luca is not even close to what i experienced in this book.i laughed, cried and smiled reading this book. it was such a amazing thing seeing them became friends and lovers, not only focused on the romantic parts (but man when they came i was a gonner)half of the book i just wanted hug Luca and the other i just thinking about how the quiet ones really are something else.the way Harper care for Luca's happiness and health is such a amazing thing. shes one of the best FMC i ever had the pleasure to met. hes also the kind of MMC whos obsessed with their love and this is a huge yes for me.i loved that have representantion about mental health issues and how the couple really talked to each other.ki youre amazing! this is a masterpiece

One of the best books
Wow. I’m not going to lie I did not have high hopes for this when starting however, I was sucked in from the begging and fell absolutely in love. The storyline was great and the author didn’t overdue the description making for a nice simple read.
