GeeKam Upgraded 4K Sport Action Camera Cam with Dual Screen Wifi and Remote 30M Waterproof Camcorder with 170° Wide Angle Two Batteries 20 Mounting Kits

This is my initial review and opinions of my new GeeKam 4k Action Sports CameraI keep losing action cameras. I've lost a few, 3 in fact in the last 12 months!! One came off my paddleboard whilst surfing. One came off the back of my boat whilst waterskiing and one I simply dropped in the water whilst messing about taking photos. It's a good job I don't pay GoPro prices for them!So I was looking for another replacement that would do up to 4k, but with a low price point and there is quite a bit of choice out there, but this one is somewhat unique in that it has a front screen like the GoPro Hero 4 does. And I liked that. In fact the dual screen idea is aparently "the original creation of GeeKam" which I didn't know! Anyway, the dual screen is an excellent idea when you are filming yourself. As an example, if I have the camera mounted on the front of my paddleboard (or kayak or whatever) and it is facing me, I can turn it on with the remote and start recording, but unless I check the back screen or get my phone out to view footage, I can't be truly sure it is actually recording. And after a few minutes, how could I know if the battery had run flat and it's stopped? Well with the front screen you can. It shows you that it is recording, shows you the frame rate it is using, show you how long it has been recording for and, of course, shows you the battery life! And in colour! This is a really neat feature and is the sole reason I picked this camera over any of the other similarly priced ones.The camera comes with a host of accessories including:* Several self adhesive mounts* Waterproof case* Belt clip and frame mount* Swivel mounts* Velcro* Protective (non waterproof) case that gives better audio when used on land* 2 batteries, dual battery charger and cable (normally, you only get a single charger at this price point)* WiFi remote controlUnboxing the camera revealed a very neat mount that I didn't know about when buying it. To slide the camera out of a mount, you normally just squeeze the sides of the mount and pull (or push) the camera out. However, this has a piece of rubber slotted in to the mount that prevents you doing this. To release the camera, you first have to lift this orange rubber flap and only then can you squeeze the mount to release it. This is a really clever idea and should prevent some of the losses I have had. When I lost the camera surfing, I caught the camera with my paddle which knocked it out of its mount. This will lock it in to its mount and as long as the mount itself is secure, will prevent you losing the camera.It also came with a very neat mounting soloution to display the camera in its box. The box contains a mount and the camera clips in to it. Again, quite clever.The camera is very easy to use and set up. The first thing I did was to navigate to the settings, format my SD card, set the date and time and then set the resolution to 1080p at 60 frames a second. Personally, I have no need for 4k video at 25fps, I would rather have 1080 at 60fps than 2,7 or 4k at 30 fps because I do a lot of watersports and catching fast moving action is more important to me.The wifi remote is easy and simple to use. You press the wifi button on the side of the camera to turn wifi on, then the remote will pair and you can use it for starting and stopping video, changing modes and powering the camera off. It's actually a lot more useful than I thought it would be. It also has a wifi preview mode on a smartphone via the EZ iCAM app so if you have the camera located remotely, you can view live or recorded footage on your phone.Video is recorded in standard MOV format and there is a fish-eye adjustment to let you reduce the fish-eye effect you get with most action cameras (due to the wide angled lens). Quality-wise, it runs rings around my GoPro Hero. The exposure is better, colours are better, it handles low light better. It captures fast movement better and the all round picture quality is just better. The quality improvement is to be expected as my GoPro is just 1080 at 25fps or 720 at 50fps. But even ignoring the detail, the picture is just more vibrant. In 4k mode, the quality is stunning, but for every day use, 1080 at 60fps gives a perfect balance between detail and file size. Maybe if I could afford over £300-£400 on a more expensive GoPro, I wouldn't see this as so good, but even if I had the money, I wouldn't spend it on a camera I might lose. In my case I won't spend more than £100 and this was even less than that!Overall, I think it's a great buy. The GeeKam is in the range of low to mid-priced action cameras, but is easily the best one I have used to date. The front screen was the reason I picked it and it is really really useful. But the mount "lock" is also a really clever idea.I'll upload some pictures and put some sample Youtube video footage in the comments.Any questions, do feel free to ask.

I am very impressed with this product, considering that this is my very first action camera. I have used it many times since unboxing it in December. The video and picture quality is very clear, even on the lower quality settings. The amount of recording time coupled with the long battery life has enabled me to record for hours on end with 1080p resolution. The interface is very quick and simple to use, allowing for one to set up other key functions to create awesome time lapses. The camera app that allows you to connect your phone to the device is easy to set up and use and gives access to more functions.One of the best parts of this product is the the amount of accessories that come with it. The protective casing is very secure and comes with spare parts in case of damage. The amount of different items allows the user to mount the camera to walls, bikes, helmets, and clothes. It also comes with a remote which allows gives a person more options when they are out and about.The only issue with this camera I have found is that some features do not work too well depending on the memory card that is inserted. At 64GB, the remote does not want to function. At 16GB, I cannot use 4K resolution.Overall, I am very impressed by this product and will definitely look into purchasing more accessories for it in the near future.

If you have a Windows phone you can not download the Google Play App and the Microsoft alternative doesn't connect.

The media could not be loaded.  My first ever action camera.This product seemed to offer the most included accessories for attaching the camera. There's genuinely so many to choose from, I actually don't know where to put most of them.The camera is built from a soft touch plastic and the buttons are nice and tactile.The main accessory here is the waterproof case. However it's worth noting they also include a spare battery which is really small and can easily be pocketed. Operation is really simple. 3 buttons. Power and mode, which cycles through the various modes, 1080p 30fps, 1080 60fps and of course 4K as well as the photo modes. The other other one is the shutter button and a wifi connect button.They even provided a spare seal for the waterproof case in case the old one rots away like seals often can do. They clearly cared about the longevity of the product.The video itself was decent, the main attribute being the stabilization, really good product overall and you really can't say no to the asking price.Definitely a good buy!

Jede nur mögliche Befestigungen und Adapter, die bei anderen Herstellern extra kosten, sind bereits enthalten. Auch weiteres Zubehör, wie ein Ersatzakku und ein Ladegerät für 2 Akkus sind enthalten. Das wichtigste extra, meiner Meinung nach, ist die wasserdichte Hülle, die einen sehr stabilen Eindruck macht und bei einem kurzen Test auch komplett dicht ist.Die Bilder der Action Cam sind sehr gut un in bis zu 4K möglich. Zusätzlich verfügt die Cam über einen digitalen Zoom.Die Video-Aufnahmequalität beschränkt sich im Gegensatz zu den Bildern leider auf FullHD und nicht auf 4K. Die der Videos ist auch bei sportlichen Aufnahmen noch gut (wenn man die Cam nicht in der Hülle hat).Die Action Cam selbst ist wie auch andere Cams schön klein und handlich und dazu noch gut verarbeitet. Auch der Bildschirm ist ausreichend für die Nutzung und verschiedene Einstellungen im Menü der Cam durchzuführen. Im Menü der Kamera sind mehrere Sprachen, unter anderem deutsch, auswählbar. Der Akku der Kamera hält lange. Die Bedienung der Cam ist sehr einfach und man kann direkt nach einlegen einer microSD Karte anfangen Fotos und Videos aufzunehmen.Ich persöhnlich habe die Cam beim Skifahren getestet und bin echt begeistert und würde die Kamera nur weiter empfehlen.

Die Kamera hat eine ziemlich Gute Auflösung und Bilder sowie Videos in 4k sind sehr Gut.Es sind leider nur 25 Frames, allerdings ist dies bei dem Preis zu vernachlässigen und für 4k sind 25fps nochin der Grenze.Die Actioncam ist aber eher für Aufnahmen in 1080P geeignet also in Full HD, denn damit läuft die Aufnahme auf butterweichen60FPS, in 720P welches dann eher für SlowMotion Aufnahmen geeignet ist, hat man sogar 120FPS.Die Aufnahme Qualität ist ziemlich Gut, ich kann mich in dem Preissegement nicht beschweren, schade ist nur, dass keineSD Karte mitgeliefert wird, dafür aber eine Menge Zubehör mir unteranderem einer Ersatzbatterie und einem extra Netzteilmit dem man zwei Batterien auf einmal laden kann ohne sie in der Kamera zu haben. Die Verpackung ist richtig cool gestaltet,und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Aussehen, mit den zwei Displays, ein 2 Zoll Display hinten mit dem Live Bild etc.und auf der Vorderseite ein kleines Display mit wichtigen Infos über den Status der AUfnahmen, Batteriestatus der Actioncamsowie die Auflösung, besonders hilfreich wenn man sich selbst filmt und trotzdem alles auf einen Blick haben möchte.Von mir gibt es eine Kaufempfehlung, allein das Ganze Zuberhör muss man sich normalerweise immer dazu kaufen und es kostetimmer relativ viel, hier bekommt man eine FULL HD (und 4K fähige) Action Cam, welche man sogar mit einer App Steuern kannund das Livebild auf seinem Smartphone erhält.Klasse!!!

Also ich war ja anfangs etwas skeptisch was die Leistung der Cam anging. das Hat sich aber nach der ersten fahrt verworfen am Lenker vom Fahrrad befestigt super Bilder ohne verwackeln, licht Verhältnisse und Farben im Wald und teilweise mit gegenlicht alles super. Nur ein kleiner minus Punkt die Lenker Halterung ist für meinen Lenker im Durchmesser zu klein, da vielleicht lieber einen etwas Grösseres reinlegen dann ist es wirklich Perfekt. und für den Preis wirklich TOP!!!!!!!!!

Ich muss sagen diese Kamera ist ihr Geld wert. Die Bilder sind richtig klar und haben eine super gute Qualität, Ein Großer Lieferumfang: es sind viele unterschiedliche Befestigungsmöglichkeiten beigelegt, mit der die Kamera auf dem Kopf, auf die Schultern oder ggf. auch an Geräten angebracht werden kann.Diese günstigen Alternativen sind für den privat Gebrauch sehr gut geeignet, da tut bspw. ein Verlust kaum weh. Das Gehäuse ist wasserdicht. Ich habe die Kamera damit sogar in eine Pfütze fallen lassen (beabsichtigt)

Die Cam funktioniert! Für den Preis kann man nicht mehr verlangen! Denke, ist ein guter Einstieg in die Actioncams!
