"When I saw you in that hotel bar, it hit me like a lightning strike—I had to have you."
Melanie Harlow knocked it out of the park with Tempt. Everything about Millie and Zach was sheer perfection—the romance, the steam, the relationship—and I never wanted it to end. Zach might just be my favourite Melanie Harlow hero too, because he was perfection wrapped in more perfection. I tried to slow down the process of reading this, because I never wanted it to end, but the need to dive deeper into Millie and Zach’s life and their romance was too strong. In Tempt, you’ll find:✨ a steamy one night stand✨ strangers to lovers✨ age gap (15 years between them!)✨ sexy former navy seal✨ sexy wedding/event planner✨ plus size heroine with epic body positivity✨ the Cloverleigh family!✨ slightly forbidden✨ her ex’s dad!In talking about Millie and Zach’s relationship, the most important thing to talk about was how despite Zach being the dad of one of Millie’s ex, their relationship was never about revenge or something harmful. I have nothing against revenge sex with your ex’s dad and I’m not criticising or shaming the books that do it that way, but I feel like so many of the stories that fall into the trope became about revenge. I loved how in this one, Melanie made it so different. And in that, she made it better. Millie and Zach meet by accident when their flights out of New York are cancelled due to a storm, which leads to a hot one night stand in his hotel room, with zero intentions of seeing each other again. Till Zach shows up at Cloverleigh Farms for his son’s wedding and Millie happens to be the wedding planner.I loved Millie so much. As a plus size woman who is confident in her body, but has faced fatshaming from family and strangers, I connected with her so hard. I loved seeing how she wanted to change the world for plus size people by providing them with more choices when it comes to wedding dresses and experiences like that. Millie was also so incredible in ways that I don’t think I have enough time to talk about. Her relationship with Felicity and Winnie was so beautiful too, because those sisters are such a good group of people. Then there’s Zach. He’s slightly grumpy and gruff, but he’s also such an incredible person. With a rough past, Zach overcame everything working against him and became a Navy SEAL, and now works as a bodyguard. He’s protective and alpha and all of the things we love about our heroes. But he’s also so soft underneath all of that. He’s the most supportive person and the way he sees Millie was just…*chef’s kiss*Their relationship was mostly physical, with escapes and trips to see each other, making it work in whatever way possible. I loved seeing them struggle with their feelings for each other on their own, but ignoring all of it when they’re together. I loved Jackson and enjoyed the way he provided Zach the much needed support and guidance. Winnie and Felicity were incredible sisters and I loved how they saw Millie and how they supported her through everything. While their physical relationship was a fast burn, their emotional relationship was a beautiful slow burn and I loved it so much, more than I thought possible.Everything about how this story and their relationship was handled worked so well for me. I want more Millie and Zach! And I hope this isn’t the end of the series, because I definitely want to spend more time with this gang.

He got a tattoo just for her! I swear this man's gonna make me cry!
Woot!! This book was so good. The angst was so high and I loved it. This story was so much more with so many topics covered. I enjoyed their sister talk, Jackson and Zach's friendly talk. I'm so happy that Mason and Lori were really mature and took things nicely. I'm so happy for Winnie and Dex also again I loved the ending of the story as well. So happy they finally made it!

Inhaled in a day, great escapism
I really enjoyed Tempt! Millie (h) has a one night stand with Zach (H) while they're both stuck in New York because of a storm. It's smoking hot and there's a connection there that leave them both thinking about the other weeks later, but Millie doesn't use his contact information that he gave her. Then they run into each other at the rehearsal for a wedding Millie is planning that Zach is also attending, because he's shockingly the newly discovered father of the groom (he was never told about the baby), who's also her ex-boyfriend. Thus begins a secret relationship where these two can't stay away from each other, but also feel like they need to. Zach is also 15 years older and not interested in marriage/babies, while Millie very much wants a family of her own. What starts as lust and physical chemistry, nicely develops into deeper feelings. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, I didn't think of the ex as om drama but they are sneaking around because of him, and neither are virgins.I loved Millie! She has some uncertainties, like her choice in men that always leads to them finding their true love after they date her. She's also a plus size woman who embraces herself and is a wedding planner, but dreams of helping other plus size women find the wedding dress of their dreams. Which develops as the story goes on into a new business for her that was really interesting to read about. Zach is in security and travels all over the country, he's a former SEAL so has all those protective tendencies. He's very reserved and has some baggage, but is also trying to do what's right because he's a good guy. I thought they were sexy and sweet together especially as the story continued and their connection included more vulnerabilities and emotional intimacy. They both feel a lot of guilt about the secrets they're keeping (and this did drag on for longer than I liked, making me want to shake them sometimes), but they also love being with each other too. And there's plenty of steaminess throughout the book.Millie's family were wonderful and the bond she had with her sisters was a great addition. I haven't read any of their books but enjoyed them as side characters and reading about their bond. I also liked the challenges Zach had with navigating a new relationship with an adult son. It was awkward, but he also wanted to keep trying. Zach also has a best friend who both teased him and offered sage and supportive advice. Some other Cloverleigh Farms characters make appearances but this stands alone, although readers who've read the other books I'm sure would enjoy those glimpses.Parts of this story did get pretty emotional and I got teary. This couple does spend some time apart a couple times, but their big final coming together moment was great and the epilogue made my heart melty and got me teary in a happy way. It was only a couple months into the future and I wanted a further epilogue, but according to other reviews, there's an extended epilogue available when signing up for the author's newsletter. I would recommend this book.

Age-gap, ex-boyfriends dad. So good.
A TikTok tease brought this book to my attention. I'm glad I saved it and gave it a go, although I have to say I thought from the teaser it was going to go a slightly different way.I haven't read any of the other Cloverleigh Farms books but after this one, I would definitely like to find the time and go back to read the others. It had moments of fun and flirting mixed in with the drama and emotions. The chemistry between the main characters was damn good.Zach Barrett is the definition of tall dark and handsome, an ex-Navy SEAL now working for a security firm he may be just this side of 50 but he's not lost any of his muscles or skills.Millie MacAllister is 32 and feels like she is the queen of bad luck. Her last three boyfriends have gone on to marry the girl they date after her. She wants to find love but she's never looking in the right spot.A chance meeting in New York brings the two together, but there is a connection they don't know about. It will lead to a whole lot of sneaking around and lying to others all the while trying to deny that anything real is happening between them. There was passion and heat, laughs and lust, and lots of inner turmoil about their actions. It was a delightful read and I would definitely recommend this to any romance readers who love a really good age-gap, small-town, grumpy/sunshine vibe....Millie is sick of being cursed but as her sister points out she's looking in all the wrong places for what she wants. Instead of the lost puppy boys, she's been dating she needs to find someone who doesn't need her to fix them. So while stuck in New York due to the weather she ventures down to the hotel bar in an effort to get out of her rut. What if downstairs right now is the man of your dreams? One with piercing dark eyes, a chiseled jaw, and a magic dick?” I laughed as I pulled out a black dress I hadn’t worn while I was here. “How am I supposed to spot a magic dick across the room?”While enjoying a drink at the bar since he's stuck in New York due to the weather Zach can't look away from the woman making her way to the bar. Gorgeous and curvy in all the right places and every man in the room is watching. When a man gets too handsy with her Zach steps in and tries to offer her some help, the fact that he's been imagining all the things he could do to her won't factor in. He plans to be as much of a gentleman as possible but he can't resist making his move. One night was all they had and they both go back to their lives. Millie planning her ex's wedding and Zach working. The only problem is they can't stop thinking about each other and since Zach left his card with Millie she is the only one who can reach out.Meanwhile, Zach is planning to meet his son for the first time. A son he knew nothing about. After a wild week at 18 before joining the navy he left without ever saying goodbye to the girl and they never stayed in contact. Now she's gone, Mason his son, found out about him and wants to get to know him. He even wants him to attend his wedding. As Millie prepares for the rehearsal dinner she is shocked to see Zach in the crowd and it's not long before she realizes that then the man she's been fantasizing about for weeks is her ex's father. While the two deny anything happened besides a drink that one night weeks ago, they can't avoid the magnetism between them. Despite that they know they really shouldn't be seeing each other they can't stay away. What they are doing is wrong but it feels so right. Millie wants things Zach can't give her, they live in other cities and then there is Mason to consider. No matter how much they know things are never going to work out they can't seem to stop but when their secret gets out it could ruin anything they could have had.Happy Reading.

The perfect way to wrap up a series!
I had to jump right into this one after Tease because I already loved Millie. And I needed to know she had a hero who was good enough for her.Millie is a wedding planner, and she’s really good at her job, but she's never the bride. And it may not look that way, but she does mind it.She is also unapologetically curvy, and I loved it as a curvy girl myself. On a dare from her sister, she goes down to the bar of the hotel where she’s stranded for the night. Unsurprisingly, she’s hit on—by a total douche. Until Zach comes to the rescue. She doesn’t need him to, mind you, but he does it anyway because he’s been watching her from across the bar. What’s one night with a stranger? They’ll probably never see each other again. OK, he’s older than she is, but does it matter when the attraction is this strong? Let me answer that—nope!Fast forward to a rehearsal dinner a week later, with Millie in full-on wedding planner mode. For the wedding of her ex-boyfriend, no less, who introduces her to his long-lost dad. Yep, it’s Zach. The want between them is scorching, but there’s something else. The need to belong to someone. The need to know you’re wanted and cared for. The need to be home.So they lie to be together, but when they start missing each other, it’s suddenly so much more.I loved how unique their happily ever after was. Like all the puzzle pieces falling into place. Love really is the biggest plot twist. And sometimes you have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Tempt 4.5/5⭐️ 3/5 🌶️Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation Series 4/5⭐️ 3/5🌶️✧ Ex’s dad✧ Age Gap✧ Plus Size rep✧ Past traumaFirst, this series all had a very similar aesthetic. “Second Chance Romance” with a heavy side of divorce. 4/8 have a divorce served cold YIKESSS!This left an overall pretty unsavory taste for me.And although each book brings a new aspect and is incredibly well written, the entire series made me nauseated//“no worries your first marriage is probably gonna suck, but find out a younger woman the second time and BANG perfection.”I can guarantee that’s not what Harlow was going for, but it’s what sunk in the most- FOR ME. other readers may have totally unrelated opinions and they should be valued too.✧ Taste and Tease were by far my favorite real passionate love, but mishaps along the way no divorce needed.- I started with Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation, I would recommend starting with Cloverleigh Farms to get a better idea of the MacAllister patriarch.
