Amazon Basics Guitar Folding A-Frame Stand for Acoustic and Electric Guitars

This is the second AmazonBasics Guitar Stand I have purchased. Packaged in the usual AmazonBasics style in minimal and easy to open packaging. Not much to review here, the stand opens out into a sturdy, low and compact stand with two curiously designed arms to accommodate different shaped guitars. Both my Stratocaster and LAG Acoustic fit in the stand as expected. The stand has a good weight to it compared to other similarly priced stands. This stand does exactly what it should! I wouldn't bother with more expensive ones - this is sturdy and looks well made. Great for my acoustic guitar.

I wanted a small stand that doesn't take up a lot of room to use for either my acoustic or my electric. This is perfect and was excellent price. Very happy!

Easy to setup, holds guitar like a pro [Even my dean guitar which is a weird shape] and is very stable. Couldn't ask for more especially at this price.

I recently went on holiday and took my guitar with me. I didn't want to just leave the guitar lying around or just propped up against something so I decided to grab one of these. It's not going to win any beauty awards but it's well built and packs down small enough to fit in my suitcase. It also only takes about 10 seconds to set up again once you are ready to put down the guitar. For the price, I honestly can't think of any negatives.

Inexpensive, cheerful, nicely finished, stops the guitar falling over - what more would you want?

Good stand this, folding it does not gain you that much of a reduction though, but does the job.

An effective, cheap and simple guitar stand that handles a Les paul no trouble.

Finalmente ho trovato un supporto per la mia chitarra elettrica degno di questo nome. Mi riferisco al supporto ad A richiudibile. Molto stabile, di buonissima fattura, richiuso occupa uno spazio risibile, è anche carino da vedere. Regge il peso della mia chitarra elettrica alla perfezione, senza sbilanciarsi per nulla. E' anche provvisto di gommini in plastica per non rigare i pavimenti. Posso solo trovare lati positivi. Tra l'altro è un articolo che nei negozi specializzati arriva a costare cifre molto più alte. Per 13 euro devo dire che sono molto molto soddisfatta! Lo consiglio senza dubbio!

Ich suchte einen einfachen Ständer für meine E-Gitarre. Der Zusammenbau erfolgte innerhalb einer Minute ohne Probleme. Nur kurz zusammenstecken und auseinanderklappen...fertig. Die Gitarre steht nun sicher und stabil. Bei Bedarf lässt sich der Ständer für den Transport wieder zusammenklappen. Fazit: Für wenig Geld bekommt man einen soliden Gitarrenständer. Top Preis/Leistungsverhältnis!

Achtung: Obwohl es drei sehr verschiedene Produkte gibt, kann man nur EINE Bewertung abgeben. Ich bewerte zwar zwei Ständer, aber die FÜNF STERNE vergebe ich NUR für den Dreibein-Ständer! Ich habe den "Dreibein"-Ständer und den ähnlichen "Klappbar"-Ständer bestellt, weil ich zwei brauchte. Im direkten Vergleich ist der Dreibein-Ständer jedoch viel stabiler: selbst wenn man ihn so weit kippt, dass die Gitarre senkrecht steht, fällt der Ständer nach dem Loslassen in seine Standposition zurück. Der klappbare Ständer besteht aus deutlich dünneren Rohren und droht leicht, nach VORNE umzukippen: noch bevor die Gitarre selbst senkrecht steht, bekommt die Konstruktion Übergewicht nach vorn und kippt um. Gabel und Halsaufnahme sind bei beiden Ständern angenehm gepolstert und für mich - obwohl ich eine große Nase habe - geruchlos. Allerdings hat das Dreibein eine U-förmige Halterung mit "Gurt", aus der sich die Gitarre leicht entnehmen lässt. Der Klappbare hingegen hat eine vorn geschlossene und nur an der Seite offene Halsaufnahme (siehe Bild in der Produktbeschreibung), und wenn man hier die Gitarre am Hals nimmt, stößt man sehr leicht mit den Saiten von innen gegen die Halsaufnahme, was zwar nicht schlimm ist aber doch ein unangenehmes Geräusch verursacht. Auch der Dreibein-Ständer ist mobil einsetzbar, denn seine Beine lassen sich ebenfalls anklappen, Gabel und Halsstütze können leicht entnommen werden. Für mich hat der Dreibein-Ständer nicht nur die Nase vorn, sondern der Klappbare ist im Vergleich einfach schlechter. Deshalb geht der Klappbare zurück, und ich habe ein zweites Exemplar vom Dreibein bestellt.

I've tried several similar stands from different makers, and they have not been good. Many have mostly plastic parts, or are very prone to tipping. This Amazon Basics stand is well made, with metal parts, rubber feet, and dense neoprene foam covering on the arms that support the guitar. It works very well, stows away neatly, and hasn't gotten wobbly from being toted around to gigs. I wish I'd bought another half a dozen when they were on sale, to use in my music room. Excellent value even at the regular price. I've tried a number of guitars of different sizes, & this stand supports them well, with never any tendency to tip. The construction is very sturdy - it will probably outlast me! JANUARY 2022 Follow-Up. No complaints, and I purchased another when the price returned to "acceptable." I've seen or tried some other, "look-alike" stands, and to sum up why the Amazon Basics one is better: The devil is in the details! The steel tubing used to make this stand is a heavier gauge than other brands I've tried. The "angle-adjustment" mechanism works, and has been robust. The rubber cap at the top of the A-frame makes quite a difference in terms of keeping the guitar upright. It's not slippery - others are. Overall, the build quality and materials are just better than what's found in many similar competitors, and they are sturdy. Mine original one has had plenty of use and is still doing the job - which is one reason I finally bought another. The other reason for buying another of these Amazon Basics stand right now is price: after my original purchase, the price per stand climbed and climbed, reaching almost absurd levels. They are now below CAD$20/each, so for a New Years Gift to myself it seemed like a good I buy. I don't see any change in material or overall quality from the 2019 stand, and this one feels very solid, as the original did. My rating of 5 stars has not changed, and I have tried (and returned) several other stands since 2019 because they were shoddy and not up to the job. No stand is perfect for every style of guitar and every person's needs, but this particular stand works very well for me.
