This is perfect for our house—not too strong or floral smelling.
Pros: This scent is perfect in our house, not flowery, not hippy, not overpowering. We have some very sensitive noses here and they never complain about these diffuser, however they have complained about many other air fresheners. It’s a very relaxing scent to me, but maybe it’s cuz it harkens to vacation days at the hotel? It’s a more masculine scent I guess compared to many others but not ‘Axe body spray-in your face’ scented, a very subtle, understated scent. It’s NOT heavy in musk, patchouli, or strong flowers. I worried about setting it on the cabinet between two arm chairs (which is the perfect location between the kitchen, family room, and around the corner is a small hall bathroom), because the one who usually prefers these chairs (to be somewhat involved, but slightly removed, and not on the sectional) gets offended by air fresheners (apparently body odor doesn’t bug him, lol)—I watched him the first time he would experience the diffuser (without telling him about them) and he never complained! This seems very economical compared to many I have used or seen. Maybe one day I’ll get an expensive, fancy one but for now this works great. I put colored glass ‘rocks’ in the bottom of a glass decanter, I like the way it looks and helps weigh down the bottom to avoid tips if someone slams into the cabinet.Cons: I wish they offered it in larger sizes, like 1/2 or full liter refills, especially if it came with a glass diffuser. Some people may complain about it being very mild or too subtle smelling. Some people may complain about it not coming in a decorative decanter, for ease of use, however I really don’t need countless non-edible-using containers around.

Nice fragrance
Smells just like Gardenias! I was pleasantly surprised at how well the scent traveled throughout my house. Directions tell you to poke the sticks through the top, however that cannot be done. Due to this, the sticks are just sticking out of the open container. Hopefully it does not get knocked over.

Pretty nice!
Took some getting used to, smelled a bit cheap at first but for the price point I really like it and will continue to buy!

CONFUSING DESCRIPTION
I purchased this item with the understanding that it was a “Diffuser Refill Oil” in reality it is a “Reed Refill Oil/Fragrance”. The instructions on the box is how I found out what it really was. The box consist of reed sticks and an inexpensive looking bottle of the fragrance. The instructions state to remove the plastic insert and to replace the black cap back on. Then to insert the sticks through the black cap. The black cap does not have any slots, slits, or holes. The instructions are for a reed bottle not the bottle that you purchased. Very confusing and misleading. That’s when I realized what the reed sticks were for. I purchased it for the “Hotel” fragrance and it’s smells cheap. The reviews were mixed; So, I decided to take a chance. Uhmm, I see why some people didn’t like. It wasn’t for me, but don’t take my word for it. Your senses may appreciate the fragrance. This is only my opinion.

Unfamiliar with Marriott Scent, but this Smells Cheap
One disclaimer - I've been to Marriotts but am unfamiliar with the scent itself. I generally love the way hotels smell. I am partial to Westin (white tea) or any of the big Vegas strip hotels. Personal preference for spaces is less sweet, more neutral, even masculine leaning, clean scents. Since many large hotels put a lot of care and attention into their scents, and often tend to smell similar, I thought I'd take a chance on this dupe. The price was right, the reviews were glowing.Big mistake. From the bottle I knew I messed up. For me, it smells very sweet. I was hoping for the mid or base notes to kick in or the scent to evolve somehow but it doesn't.I did a quick search for Marriott top notes but only found "Attune" on their website, "apple, grapefruit, white cedar, and an enticing floral blend". So maybe this dupe is accurate? Idk.Since I opened it, I'll use it. I poured it into a reed diffuser and placed it in the bathroom. The scent is strong, like another customer said, and it's okay for a bathroom. But IMHO it smells cheap... even for a bathroom. I may try it in a hallway or something where it has more space to expand and change. But as of right now, I hate it, can't wait till it's done.

Perfect size for my space
Love the smell and the size. I have it in the bathroom. Very subtle smell which is nice as it is the half bath. I do wish I could just buy the diffuser liquid as a replacement.
