Absolutely loved this product here are some tips. 1. Buy more yarn in colors you may want to add or use 2. Be prepared this will take you a while but it is worth it. It starts off in pieces 3. They want you to hold the cardboard elephant together with a simple tape wrapper around it!. Nope glue or modpodge those things together if you want it to stay in place and make wrapping in yarn easier. 4. Be creative in how you wrap I had to think outside the box when trying to figure out how to get the final strand to stay in place so I moved it along the bottom and made it a part of my tail. 5. Enjoy and have fun

Great gift for a 9 year old who likes elephants and crafts

Cute but wasn’t expecting to have to put the elephants together before stringing them with the yarn. Some parts are awkward to do & takes extra time to make it look as shown.

This was a very cute idea! I love elephants! However idk how kids can do this?! I’m an adult and it took me forever! Detailed and time consuming. Not enough yarn or double sided tape.

I purchased this for my 8 year old grandson who loves to craft, and he got excited just looking at the box. This is a project that is easy to handle for young fingers and satisfying because they can do it on their own with very little help or supervision.

Was easy to follow instructions and was entertaining and she loved it.

Bought for my granddaughters ages 12 & 8.. They loved making the elephants and they look cute on their bookshelves.

As a Dad who has worked on a ton of crafts with my kids I want to warn you to think carefully before purchasing this for an 8 or 9 year old. We have experiences with these types of projects. My daughter and I did the yarn tree together and we were both able to contribute to the project and it turned out really nicely. The yarn elephants are an entirely different beast. This project does not lend itself to kid-friendliness. It is an incredibly tedious project for something that will sit on a shelf and collect dust. The tiny adhesive squares (that you have to measure out and mark yourself) will drive you insane as you attempt to peel the backing off. Preparing the ears is a project of its own. I could go on and on but I'll summarize with bullets since I have already spent too much time wrapped up in yarn elephants: - The investment of your time (probably not your kid's) is VAST. - The adhesive squares will drive you MAD. - The project will sit on your table for WEEKS. - Once you cross off "finish elephants" from your to-do list you will CELEBRATE. - You will not wish to do yarn anything EVER again. - I hope it doesn't come to this, but you may never look at elephants with the same AFFECTION that you once did. I don't write many reviews but wanted to advise you to avoid this one. It looks cute but it's just not worth it.

I, think it would have been nicer to use embroidery thread rather than the tapestry yarn. Next time I will sub for my own use. However I have received so many compliments on these little elephants.
