I run the G5 dock on several of my employees' laptops, quick setup, and it seems to be durable.

HP G5 Hub for simple connectivity
HP's G5 hub is less then 5" x 5" x 2" deep and has all the ports needed to simplify wiring. Connect the UBS-C hub cable to laptop and all other connections tap off hub for video, USB data, audio and hub enumeration. It also has 100 watt back feed if laptop load requires more then adapter provides.

This is a solid dock for those who like to work with multiple monitors and various USB devices.

Beware of any purchase of HP products ...
Most of you know that HP needs to work better with other products. They design their printers to only use their ink, which allows them to gouge their customers. Sadly, they have now created two levels of laptop computers, so some don't even work with their own HP docking station! Yes, that is true - the docking station will not work with the HP Model 17-cp3055cl I bought from Costco. I can only work with a company that designs products that work with other products, especially if it is their own product. Goodbye, HP; I will not be doing business with you again.
