Good value. Multi purpose. Works better than my old 2 spike wood m/c meter. Used it successfully to help identify damp internal wall caused by defective (now replaced) external chimney.

Easy enough to use and the price was good too compared to some. I'm using it for logs but am sure I will be tempted to test our walls. Easy to read too, seems good quality.

I bought after seeing a recommendation on Facebook, I wanted something to do regular damp checks I my camper. The readings don't really compare with others done previous years. I contacted customer service and to be fair replied both times but couldn't really help me. Perhaps I m doing something wrong. A bit disappointed 😞.

I just moved into a new house that, unfortunately, has a few damp issues. I bought this device to keep an eye on them and check whether they were getting better or worse. The device definitely picks up the damp patches very clearly and seems amazing value compared to the type of devices professional surveyors use for the same purpose. Unlike a lot of similar dampness meters, I like the fact that this one has a flat, contact pad rather than a couple or more nails sticking out the back, which means measurement can be taken without damage to the surface the meter is seeking to measure. It has a good quality feel and I would definitely recommend it for a cost effective way of checking for dampness etc..

To be effective you need a good knowledge of the different types of wood to adjust the setting/reading…too complex for me.

ケースと電池が付属しており、説明書もしっかりとしていて開封直後から好印象。 早速薪棚の薪を計測してみました。 玉切りのまま割らずに乾燥していた太い薪は設定された水分以上のブザーで知らせてくれます。 薪棚の薪はいつから乾燥させていたのか忘れがちですが、この水分計があれば程よい乾燥具合の薪を使うことが出来ます。 ピン付きの水分計よりも感度が安定しているようです。

Ho comprato questo prodotto su consiglio di un amico che me lo ha fatto vedere a casa sua. Siccome volevo controllare lo stato dell’umidità sui muri di casa mia, mi sono subito fatto passare il link e ho finalizzato l’acquisto. Arrivato in un giorno, sono contentissimo dell’acquisto fatto. Funziona benissimo, ha varie modalità (4) per diverse superfici. A breve installerò un camino in casa e potrò utilizzarlo per capire quale legna è più secca e quindi pronta all’uso, perché questo rilevatore ha pure la funzione legna. Spettacolo.

I have been using an old style pin tester for my firewood. Its very difficult to use; takes a lot of effort to push it into the wood, the pin can easily break, cannot do a deep test (usually around 0.5 in), and very difficult to test across the entire log (ends and sides). ErickHill pinless tester makes it so much easier. Just slide it across the top of the wood and it'll beep if moisture is too high. I can quickly identify which logs are ready to burn. The display is very bright, easy to read. Battery life is good, pretty sensitive, and appears to be accurate. I do not have a different way to double check the preciseness of the tester. Only complaint is the sensor area behind the display that's slid across the wood can get scratched easily. It would be nice if they put a protective plastic over it. I covered it with some scotch tape. So far so good. Very nice tool. Must buy!
