Excellent Quality .
Surprised what good quality this is .1/ etched in numbers and markings that won’t rub off.2/ it’s solid and heavy quality .3/ metric one side and imperial the other .4/ one side is 2 inches side and the other inch and a half wide so ideal for oak frame mortice checking .5/ can’t really find and fault it and so it’s great value .6/ so ok the sticker is a bit tough to remove but wow if that’s it I’m happy .7/ way cheaper than a Stanley one .

Brilliant for the price and built to last!
Brilliant- Nice and accurate as a 90 degree angle. Well constructed and nicely weighted, better than plastic imo. Also has the nice thought of having the hanging point being above the centre of mass, so hanging straight for those OCD people who like their tools neat! The inner edge has a hole taken out at the corner, which works well to be able to draw along both edges and cross over so you can see where its gone.Easy way to check they are 90 degrees is to draw a straight line with the long edge, mark a point in the middle ish. Line up the short end and mark up at the top of the long end, then flip it over and do the same. These points should be in the same place. (lots of cheap ones are more than a little off!)

A rough diamond
Like other reviewers have already noted, the Fisher framing square is not the most polished of tools. There are places on the edge where you can feel a burr, and the protective finish is uneven. The short arm's imperial side has minor inconsistencies in the scale when set against my two metre rules .That accounts for the missing star. However, a couple of minutes with a flat needle file deals with the burred edges, the finish is allegedly epoxy and seems well bonded and tough, and the square is indeed square, both inside and out. In addition, the steel is a good 2mm thick. In short it's a working tool, robust and well constructed for a life on the building site. I would say that the measuring scales are good enough for on-site measurements (the metric scales are pretty much spot-on) and the graduations and numerals are clear and deeply stamped into the steel. And while checking the scales I also found my two supposedly accurate metre steels don't correspond perfectly with one another.I only wanted an accurate square, so I'm completely happy with this tool. It isn't perfect, but for the price is very good value.

Couldn't ask for better at this price
It's steel, it's heavy and it's sharp around the edges. But it's a great price for a well pressed, full size framing square with clear markings.More expensive ones will be lighter, better finished and have reference markings but this will give the average diyer everything they need. Don't hesitate.

Useful tool
Used this to help set out inspection chambers at work. Significantly speeds up the process.

Solid heavy duty square, great for builders needed one.
Excellent square and a good size for bricklayers building gateposts etc. Much better quality than the other branded one I previously owned that bent so easily it was almost like it was made from lead. This one is totally different and you can just feel the strength of the metal when picking it up.

It's big and square
Robust design and metalwork. Easy to read and mine is actually square, which is a bonus nowadays. Should last for years.
