WORKS AS EXPECTED
This unit works as described. I installed this on my golf cart to power 12v accessories， I Installed a push/pull switch on the negative side to eliminate any excessive power drain from the cart batteries，since the unit draws a trickle of current even when the Golf Cart is off. Now all 6 of the 8 volt batteries discharge evenly, effectively extending the batteries lives.

does not recover from voltage in drop
Bench tested with power supply and led light bar load. When input drops below 6.6 volts, output drops from steady 1.17 amps to 0.137 amps. As input voltage rises again, output amps stay same. Does not recover from voltage drop, need to disconnect/reconnect (when above 7 volts in is available).

Solar Panel?
Experimented and used it for a Solar Panel conversion because volts was to high and watts on the Solar Panel. So far working OK Not sure if recommended for a solar panel but adding a fuse connection for amps could also be safer I would say.
