Bulldog Garage Door Lock

The pair of Bulldog garage door security locks arrived as promised on time. Well pleased with the construction of the the locks as the design of them is very good and very sturdy. Due to the price of them I was a bit hesitant on buying them but after reading the reviews they made up my mind. Just a bit of effort to fit them by creating holes in the garage floor to install them. They were registered and this gives a five year warranty which is worth doing, also registered the keys in case they are mislaid or damaged which costs an extra five pounds per lock. Just happy that it secured the garage door for the future.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I've used this lock previously and know they are good and relatively easy to install.

Well made and very robust. All the fittings necessary are supplied, together with simple, clear instructions. I've only given it four stars as I would have preferred a better quality traditional keyed lock, rather than the cylindrical one supplied, as the depth of the 'indentations' are not quite as varied as I would have liked for security. Generally the greater the variation in depth the harder it would be to pick. In the early days of cylindrical locks, when the diameter of the hole was much smaller, it was often possible to open such a lock with a biro! Having said that, it should not be taken that this lock would be so easy to pick, not a bit! The diameter of the hole is much bigger than the ones described above and the variation of the slots is much more varied and a bit deeper, so I'm sure it would easily defeat all but the most skilled thief with the right tools. The opportunist thief wouldn't have a chance defeating this lock by picking it and to get past it any other way would involve a lot of noise and probably portable power tools. I would thoroughly recommend this lock as a good compromise between cost, security and ease of use, in order to protect the contents of most garages. It takes a bit of effort to fit as you obviously need to concrete the locking tube's receptical into the ground, but it's not difficult and was all done in a couple of hours start to finish. Provided you appreciate that if someone REALLY wants to get in, they will, there is little out there to beat this lock for the price and believe me I looked hard! Oh, and it's made in Britain, what's not to like!

Really good but if kit this, needed another lock on our garage that already has a middle standard lock. This really holds down the door compared to the standard lock. Was easy enough to install (steel door) keys works good and locking mech seems to be fine aswell. I’ve been using it for about a year and half and it’s not rusted or stopped working in anyway. Would recommend drilling some drain holes for the actual lock part as I noticed it would fill up with water during heavy rain.

These are a bit of work to install. You have got to dig a hole and then fill it with concrete to get it right, but it's well worth it. They are good, solid locks once they are installed.

using garage as stores for work needed make secure looked at several locks this is a beast, was hard work installing digging pit and concreting base in, but this locks is best have seen , you aint getting lock off, backing plate for bracket makes both sides secure and because tube drips 150mm into base which is concreted in , no way of attacking it. very very pleased this really is super product. I got two locks for each side to stop corners being bent up. would recommend to any1 who wants a very secure locking device but doesn't mind bit of effort installing.

I bought one to start with. I found it a bit fiddly to fit but really happy with the outcome. I then bought a second one and found it easier to fit. Worth the extra effort.

I was initially happy with the lock but after a while the design flaws became very obvious. The tube in the ground where the lock fits will fill with grit, stones and dirt rendering the lock unusable unless you vacuum it regularly. If the lock came with an extra plunge part to insert into the tube when not in use or if the tube was designed differently with a lip at the top and a cover then that would be much better. The lock is supplied with get a rubber cap to go on the yellow fitting but that is not enough. The dirt gets into the tube from ground level not via the gap in the yellow bracket. It's a good lock but the design is only 80% there.

Designed and built to give you piece of mind. Using it to secure a garage door on and unattended building. Easy to install. Would purchase again.

produit solide a betonner dans le sol donc voir d'abord si c'est possible de creuser le sol, prévoir quand même un peu de graisse sur le mécanisme car si il y une protection contre la pluie il y a un risque de condensation qui le ferait gripper à la longue

Ottimo articolo . Molto Robusto. Ben fatto. Semplice da installare. Scelto perché non necessità di saldature . Sufficienti 4 fori per le viti incluse. Unica pecca, quando si apre con la chiavetta, il perno inserito nell’apposito foro nel pavimento non è agevole da sfilare e risulta scomodo. Consegna puntuale .

In der Hülse ist unten ein Loch. Dies muss frei bleiben, denn nur dort kann Wasser, was in der Hülse steht wenns regnet, abfließen. Ich habe die Hülse in einer Kunststoff Tüte, nur unten, einbetoniert und am nächsten Tag mit einem 40cm langen Bohrer das Loch im Beton aufgebohrt.
