Glenn loves NIN!
Change of line-up and sound on Black Acid Devil, distorted vocals over drum machines and industrial guitars give more than bit of a nod to Trent Reznor, Glenn drops the vocal effects for a few tracks though, a great haunting vocal performance on Ashes, after a few listens I found it to be a great album but only better then Satans Child and Circle Of Snakes.

More metal innovation
As per usual with Glenn Danzig this album is extremely different to the others. The usual heavy guitar riffs are there; to be fair, only Satan's Child is heavier. But there is a strong mix of industrial dance music too. Notable tracks are the remix of Deep from the X-Files soundtrack, and Hand of Doom ,a re-write of an old Sabbath song. Also worth mentioning are the impending darkness of Bleedangel and the bleakness of Ashes. There is also somewhat of a return to Danzig's punk roots with Power Of Darkness. It may not at first seem like the best album in the world, but stick with it and it will grow on you.
