My Grandson finds it difficult at present when we say quarter to or quarter past etc he is in the 15.43 era etc and does not know even then what the time is, it's about time teachers got paid for teaching basics as we were taught in the fifties. Now hopefully in a few weeks he will be able to read both types of clock with ease.

Brilliant product and SILENT! No ticking but a great clock with a second hand and everything on it that helps your child tell the time!

Great size. Looks exactly as the pictures. Good quality and it is silent so no annoying ticking to keep little ones awake.

My daughter loves this clock, and I bought it for her - hence the 4 stars. It is a bright and cheerful addition to her bedroom. Personally I was a little disappointed as it consists of what seems to be a painted clock face on an MDF circle with the mechanism on the back. A previous review mentioned difficulties with the flimsy battery compartment, and it does look as though it will be tricky to change batteries without damaging the battery compartment. This clock does not tick! Instead, it makes the weirdest sound of an electronic toy that has been left on and is now on its very, very last legs. It took me two evenings of searching for this elusive sound before I worked out the sound actually comes from the clock! (My daughter is slightly hearing impaired so does not notice the sound - however it drives me mad!!)

As clocks go, this fails on several fronts. A clock, first and foremost, should enable you to tell the time. This clock gains or loses as much as 10 minutes over the course of 48 hours. This renders it useless on the first front. On the second front, it should enable the telling of time in a way that is not massively distracting. This is absolutely the loudest clock I have ever heard. (Although, to be fair, I haven’t heard many as most don’t make a sound.) I read other reviews that mentioned this, but I simply misunderstood how loud a clock mechanism CAN be. I can hear it whirring when I’m standing outside of the room the clock is in (with the door closed). We have to remove it from my child’s room every night in order that any sleep can be had. The clock face is great and super useful for teaching telling the time. But, because of the two issues noted above, we have now taken the batteries out so that it can be even partially useful. But, I could have achieved this same end — far more cheaply — by drawing a clock. Save yourself some time (pun intended) and money and do that instead.

This clock is the bees knees! They have literally thought of everything to try and make it as easy as possible to read the time. I love that they have but each half in two different colours with one half labelled ‘past’ and the other ‘to’ as well as having the click split into 5 minute interval labels as well as the standard ones. Even the fact that the hands have been labelled has made it much easier for my daughter to read the time.

These clocks look great and have a fantastic format for kids to learn, but are flimsy. The single AA battery does not fit into the back well and thus only 1 out of 2, I purchased worked.
