Cookbook for Boys (Cookery) : Wheatley, Abigail: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Great way to get boys interested in cooking - Bought this for my 7 year old son and he has really enjoyed having a go at cooking for us. The selection of recipes are great for young ones - things they love to eat - and the photos and cooking steps make it easy to follow. It's a nice robust hard back too which will cope with getting stuff spilt on it! Review: super book if you want to encourage your son to cook - I bought this for my 11 year old in the hope of encouraging him to have a go in the holidays. I thought he may say the usual "oh mum, not another book"!! but infact he loved it. Within a few days he asked to make the pizza recipe with me, but did it completely on his own, including making the bread base. It turned out very well and he was thrilled when his dad wolfed the whole lot down with only a tiny slice left for us. He has now asked me to buy the ingredients for the dips and intends to make them for us this weekend. It is colourful and simply set out in an appealing way for chidren. A hit!

Great little book
Great little book! My son is only 4 yrs and has really enjoyed choosing and making meals from it! As an adult then the Chilli is great (just needed a little extra chilli added for the man of the house :-)). All the recipes we have tried are good, and when done once, then the next time round your own twists can easily be added.

Looks great for a 9 year old boy
Gave a 1* review for the first copy I received as the pages had been bound in the wrong order. Having now received a second copy with no issues, I am really looking forward to giving this to a 9 year old boy. Layout looks child friendly with pictures and clear instructions and the recipes sound tasty - will be happy to taste my nephew's efforts. It's a Christmas gift so can't give the child's opinion

Loved this idea
Think this is a great idea for boys of varying ages, it has clear colourful recipes of things they like to eat. and now they can learn how to make them Good quality book made more functional due to its spiral bound spine. Think my Dad could benefit from this too and he's nearly 70.

Very good book
My 8 year old twin boys really wanted to get this book and they absolutely love it. They've made vegetable kebabs and scrambled eggs and now they're dying to make spaghetti bolagnese. I never thought I'd see the day as they've never been that into cooking! A really good simple book that's also inspired me to make a few things from it as it's so straight forward. Thoroughly recommended.

Good book for absolute beginners.
Bought this for 12 yr old grandson who is very interested in cooking. Very well illustrated, usefully spiral bound so it lies flat on worktop. Found it a bit too basic and full of information my grandson already knew. Would have liked more recipies and more interesting ones. Returned this as being more suitable for a younger boy, or one only just starting to cook. Much preferred the Usborne ‘Beginners Cook’ book which would even suit adult learners.

Really nice cookbook--bright colors, big pictures of finished meals and desserts. Cooking directions and ingredients are simple. Great for any child or adult. Arrived very quickly as well.

This was for Zach who turns 13 this month. It is one of the best cookbooks I've ever seen.

The recipes in the book look like something my nephews can cook. I will find out after Christmas.
