Sod the price of deoxit. This stuff is great.
Used on 1950's turntable, 70's and 80's guitar amps potentiometers. Works very good. A quick squirt, leave for a few minutes then twiddle for a bit. Cleaned the sound, crackles and static and left the pots free of friction. The pots in this marshall move so freely now, a light breeze could knock your setting out 😁 I've never used deoxit, and never will at that price. This tin was £15 cheaper and does exactly what it says.

Who needs Deoxit D5 for guitar pots and amps?!
If you are looking to clean up scratchy pots on guitar amps don't bother with super overpriced deoxit D5! A quick squirt with this then rotate the pot fully both directions multiple times (I did this for about 1 min+ for each pot on a vintage marshall amp) and you will feel the pot become super easy to turn. tip: alternate turning and then holding the guitar or amp upside down and right way up too if you can, whilst rotating the pot, so the servisol can cover all the surfaces and stay inside the pot Completely gets rid of any crackles, pops or static in pots without need for Deoxit. The pots on my vintage Marshall were like shooting a desert eagle into a bowl of rice crispies before and are now as smooth as glass and sound like brand new. FYI - if like me you encountered those videos/posts online that tell you 'D5 or servisol is only for switches as its for metal surfaces but can damage carbon tracks or plastic' its absolute BS! this is all you need.

Works well on switches
This is ideal for cleaning noisy volume controls and switches in radios and hi-fis.

Can't justify the price of Deoxit?... Here you go
If you need a switch/pot cleaner and baulked at the price of the 'leaky can' Deoxit stuff then this might be for you. It worked perfectly on my 1980's Akai amp, gone were the crackly knob adjustments. Can't say if it's any better or worse than the leading "defacto" brand, but it worked for me, and a dam sight cheaper.

Good electrical contact cleaner
Used it on my phone charging socket as it wasn't charging very well. It does now.

Works
This was recommended by a friend. I used it first to clean an old bayonet lamp fitting that had poor contact and its bulb kept cutting out. Fixed it with only a small amount of rubbing.
