I ordered this to go in my home office to give me some color. The first one I got worked but would not connect to the app which has all the extra controls the remote does not. I followed some trouble shooting info I received and no matter what the lights would time out and not connect to the app. I requested and received a replacement that connected immediately to the app. There are so many more settings you can do with the app such as change to music or just setup a pattern of colors and flashing that you want. I have the lights setup in my office and they work great. Even though I had an issue with the first one the replacement performed better then expected with the app so I am giving it 5 Stars.

Lights are bright and work great, just wish there were more color options

The media could not be loaded.  All you need in one kit! The colors are very pretty, vivid, and bright! The light tones, colors, and motions can be adjusted with the remote control or the app and they look great! The silicone shell is very soft, moldable, and easy to bend and make any shapes with it offering unlimited creativity. Because the tube is so flexible, it can be shaped in any direction and is very easy to work with. It is rated waterproof and could work for outdoor applications, although the dimer and the transformer are not waterproof and will have to be fitted inside.Fully functional remote works well and makes it very easy to cycle through the modes and settings. We did not try the app as one of the reasons why we ordered this light is so that we dont have to install yet another app into our phones. With every socket, light, bulb, lock, appliance, and fixture in the house requiring these days an app installation and hundred permissions, not having to get yet another app was a huge plus!This RGB rope light is so much fun! This kit includes all the mounting hardware so it is open & play with everything provided. My 10 year old loved these lights so much that he was sitting over them and kept changing the dynamic modes mesmerized by the cool light show! The colors are very vivid and bright, making all the modes and patterns look really dynamic and powerful.At this price this kit provides everything you need for a full complete installation and is definitely worth 5 stars! Very happy!

This is a thick, nice rope of lights. It is easy to control via app and remote, and comes with plastic pieces for shaping the light rope. I'll admit, I didn't cut the rope, I was worried I would mess it up. Instead, I made a cute shape with the plastic pieces, and my son loves it!

First, let me say WOW! I've had dozens of RGB lights over the years and they just keep getting better. RGBIC - with a little chip on each LED so each can be programmed to a different color - offers so many animated possibilities. The best controllers offer breathing and flow, chases and lightning, color matching and sound response. The newest (I think) addition to the family are these "neon" ropes, which surround the lights with rubber to make them more flexible (bend into shapes), durable, waterproof, AND diffused so you see much less evidence of the individual lights.This 3 Meter neon strip is a fine specimen. It's gorgeous! includes 12V power, a decent remote, and plenty of mounting clips. This one is Bluetooth (not wifi) and does integrate with Tuya's Smart Life app - or with Yun Home's knockoff - to unlock more settings and patterns. In theory, it seems Smart Life enables Alexa/Google integration - even if your device doesn't natively support it. I haven't been able to get that to work yet, but Yun Home doesn't make any claims here.This is a really nice light, quality feel and decent feature set on its own. I just don't see much that makes it stand above the competition and command a premium price. This unit is only 3M, which limits its use. Many in this price range are 5M. There are electrical limitations to anything longer, I've seen the old strips get much longer and there are good 24V power supplies around these days so it will be fun to see where these go. And these are relatively new so they should be coming down in price. As it is now, there's a HUGE variety of lengths and features to choose from.

I love these lights. They're bright and very easy to use, You can really get creative with these lights as the are bendable. Very flexible.

Big upgrade over the old LED strips. Very flexible and tons of features. The remote and app are easy to use and I love all of the options like color, brightness, pattern, multiple color control, etc. Only issue is the adhesive on the strip not holding very well.More expensive than the old LED strips, but worth the extra money.

This a nice Bluetooth capable rope light that includes really good mounting hardware. The rope is really flexible. They also give you enough mounting clips (25) to hold it in most of the shapes you would want. You do need to plan it out if your trying for something complex, but otherwise really a cinch to mount.Sadly the power cord is only 5ft long and is just a standard black cord (hard to hide on the wall). It connects to the bottom of the power switch. The switch also holds the IR detector on a short little 4" lead that sort of flops out of the top of the switch. The switch lead and the lead from the light combine for a total length of 10". All total, with the power cord, switch and leads you can just about 6ft away from the light rope. Sadly, there isn't really a good mounting solution included for the switch or the little IR lead.I'm not a fan of the Yun Home smart home app, but it does work if you like that. No point loss as I'm aware that apps are a personal choice sort of thing. Otherwise, the included remote works well for accessing the features.My last comment is that, as nice as this is, it's fairly similar to it's competition, and, sadly, most of the competition offer this at a lower price. Some are significantly lower in price.
