Surprisingly useful!
Paired with my R5C, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s really nerve racking to see $1000+ lenses sitting front element forward on a surface. This product helps prevent that scenario and keeps the camera body a few centimeters off the ground. This is compact and very well built. Works great with 24-105 F4 (both EF and RF), 100mm F4, and of course smaller lenses. I don’t have any longer zooms so I can’t be sure, but I think the camera will tilt forward with any larger lenses.

Fantastic gadget for convenient shooting
I absolutely love this little gadget. I've been using it while shooting handheld b-roll, and it is so convenient to be able to set down my camera without worrying it will tip over. It keeps the camera nice and stable, even with a medium-large lens. Also fits nicely in Arca Swiss quick release baseplates. I loved it so much, I bought two. I've seen other reviews that aren't as favorable, but I can't for the life of me understand the hate for this thing. Highly recommend!

Handy but needs improvements
**Product Review: QR Plate 3913**I recently bought and used the QR Plate 3913 with my Canon R5 and 24-105mm lens. Here's my detailed review based on my experience:### Pros:1. **Good Build Quality**The QR Plate 3913 boasts a solid construction. The materials used are durable, ensuring that the plate can withstand heavy usage without showing signs of wear and tear.2. **Legs are Stable**When properly set, the legs of this plate provide a stable base. This stability is crucial for ensuring that the camera remains steady, particularly during long exposure shots or when using heavier lenses.3. **Works Great with Tripods**This plate integrates seamlessly with various tripods. Its compatibility and ease of attachment make it a versatile addition to any photographer's gear.4. **Portable**The QR Plate 3913 is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. Its portability ensures that you can easily include it in your photography kit without adding significant bulk.### Cons and Design Flaws:1. **Legs Do Not Lock Properly**A significant design flaw is that the four legs do not lock when fully extended. They tend to fold back, requiring you to constantly readjust them. This can be quite frustrating and hinders the overall usability of the plate.2. **No Threaded Insert**Another issue is the absence of a threaded insert. When you remove the 3/8 the1/4 screws tend to fall out easily and there is nothing to support. This can be inconvenient, especially if you need to switch between different mounting setups frequently.3. **Allen Wrench Storage**The Allen wrench provided with the plate requires a tool to pull it out, which defeats its purpose. Ideally, such a tool should be easily accessible without needing additional tools, as quick adjustments are often necessary in the field.### Conclusion:The QR Plate 3913 has its merits, particularly in terms of build quality, stability, tripod compatibility, and portability. However, the design flaws, especially concerning the legs and the lack of a threaded insert, can be quite bothersome. Additionally, the inconvenience of the Allen wrench storage is a minor but notable drawback.Despite these issues, it can still be a useful piece of equipment for photographers who can work around these limitations. If the manufacturer addresses these design flaws in future iterations, it could become a standout product in its category.

Love This For Handheld Video Rigs!
I used this to build out a compact video rig with a Sony A7IV and it finally fixes the issue of having the rig tip and rest on the lens when put down on a flat surface. Also comes in really handy to be able to set it up on a flat surface and shoot a static angle in tight spaces where a tripod may not fit and when I do use a tripod it has the arca mount for that too!

This thing sucks
Save your money, this thing is horrible, it became loose within my camera bag while I was backpacking through Europe for a month and it didn’t hold up well.

Legs don't lock open.
Looks good, has a large footprint when open, sturdy when legs expanded. The Legs don't lock open strongly enough. Whe open the legs are easily pushed around requiring constant double checking to make sure they are completely open before putting camera down.

Great idea
Awesome idea. I can have layers of arca swiss stands to go from cage down to just the camera and even put just the camera on the ground or a surface to shoot super low or just not worry about it falling over
