Scratching glass?
I’ve used brass scrapers for over 40 years after my father put one in my first car. Never had one scratch on glass EVER. However seeing a few bad ratings on this issue, I examined the edges of the blade. It was quite rough. I’m not an expert as to the toughness of glass compared to brass but it had my attention. A cheap brass brush polished those edges quite nicely. Cheaper option than throwing away for sure. I’m in the camp that this is a really good deal, brass is the best! Also I love the longer handle. I don’t have a truck, but I have to reach over a car with business attire. So over it!

Very effective, edge could use a very light sanding or smoothing to reduce scratching potential.
Edge was good but I smoothed it with a very, very fine sanding block 320 grit gently to reduce slight burrs. Any fine or very fine smoothing device would work too. FINE emery board, nail file, knife hone, sharpening stone, sandpaper, green kitchen sponge or leather strop used gently should work. I have not tested it for scratching the glass as scratches would probably not show up quickly or until repeated heavy use. Likely over time it would scratch some. Windshield glass is softer generally than other glass at 5 to 6.5 Mohs vs 7.

Heavy duty ice scraper at a great price
I’m in no hurry for snow and ice season to come, so I’m in no hurry to try these out! But, we know that season is coming in Maine. We get some pretty thick ice on our windshields and windows and plastic scrapers don’t always do the job. My husband swears by the metal edge ice scrapers so when I saw these at an affordable price I immediately ordered one for each vehicle. We haven’t used them yet, but they seem to be very solidly made - not cheap plastic or thin metal. I’m sure these will hold up well for many years to come.

Small and lightweight
I got the 2 pack for my kids at college since they have not really experienced major freezes. These were lightweight and work great.

Works okay but....
It's basically using a flat edge on a rounded widow. That means only the middle is doing the work and more scrapping is required. However, it is good considering the very low price. I would say it's a good tool to carry but only to supplement other scrapers and brushes.
