Great tools, easy to use. Well made. Comes with a hard shell carrying case.
This review is for Gaobige Network Tool Kit, RJ45 Crimper Tool Kit with a RJ45 Pass Through Crimp Tool All-in-one Wire Crimper Stripper Cutter Ethernet Crimping Tool for Cat6A Cat6 Cat5 Cat5e, a Wire Stripper (Blue).I was excited to try this product as I was about to re-wire my existing home and wanted to try a newer style pass-through crimp tool. I own a few standard RJ45 crimpers but this was my first pass-through crimp tool. I'd like to mention I used both standard RJ45 connectors and passthrough RJ45 connectors with this crimp tool and both worked just fine. The kit comes with a hard carrying case, the crimp tool, a wire stripper and a few extra replacement blades. The hard carrying case is great to keep the tools organized and it has foam padding on the inside to protect them from moving around inside. The stand alone wire-stripping tool is compact and works excellent. I was able to strip several wires very quickly without cutting into the stranded pair wires. There is a longer blade on the tool to allow you to cut excess wire first as well. The crimp tool has a built-in wire stripper but I found it more difficult to use that than this stand alone wire stripper.Lastly, the crimp tool itself is very well made and is ergonomically shaped. I found it very easy to use with my existing RJ45 connectors (non-pass through). I then purchased some passthrough connectors and I can confidently say I will never use a non pass-through connector again. Pass through RJ45 connectors are so much quicker and easier to use. I was able to cut, strip, and crimp in about 1 minute while using pass-through connectors as opposed to 3-4 minutes using my older tools.I highly recommend this tool as it will make your life much easier whether it is a small job or a very large one. I used a generic RJ45 pass through connector that I purchased on Amazon. One last thing to note. As of the time of the writing, there was a 15% coupon that you can click to get this for about $25.Hopefully this review helped you make an informed decision! Thanks for reading my review.

Use this to save time and go with pass through RJ45
This is a set of both a cable cutter and stripper along with a male RJ45 EZ/Passthrough crimper.I'm upgrading from an older crimper that came out before the EZ Passthrough connectors were a thing. It save so much time that I don't even bother with the older style connectors if I can help it. With the passthrough connectors, it allows you to pull the wires tight in the plastic housing before crimping ensuring a more durable fit. I use a dab of clear silicone in mine to lock things in place even further but I was using a pair of side cutters to trim off the excess wires after crimping. This tool allows you to crimp and trim the excess off all in one step, saving time and the cut ends up nice and flush.I liked that addition of the wiring color diagram on the side of the crimper even if it was places a little cockeyed. It's a nice sanity check before following through with crimping. The instructions were nice with few typos or grammar problems. My only gripe has more to do with he storage box that came with it. The box is nice and all but it doesn't say anything about RJ45 on the out side of it. I need it to say that so when I'm fishing through all my tools it's easy to identify what it is without opening it every time. This is a minor complaint and one that is easily fixed with a sharpie so no points docked. With the right tools and EZ passthrough connectors, RJ 45 is not difficult to work with at all. Almost everything is auto MDI-X now days so you don't have to worry about crossover cables etc. Just wire everything as a type B straight through / patch cable and call it a day. This kit is good for the beginners and intermediate alike, it's not the fanciest kit around but it gets the job done.Edit: I'm just following up because another reviewer claims holding it covers the crimping die making it hard to insert the connector. He then posted a picture of him holding it with the die on the bottom near his pinky finger. That is not the correct way to hold this, hold it with the die up top near the index finger and that problem goes away. If your left handed maybe hold it the other way but it's not a big deal. Not deserving the single star he gave either....

Nice kit
This network toolkit is a pretty good investment. For about $25 you get a cable cutter with extra blades, and a pass-through RJ-45 crimping tool. The great thing about it being pass-through is that you can use either type of connectors with it: either pass-through or traditional dead-head. The tools come packed in a nice carrying case with foam liners with cutouts for the tools to fit in so they don’t move around during transport. I have an Ideal crimper that I use at work and it has shorter handles on it than this one does, so I am getting slightly more leverage with this tool than with the Ideal tool. Not a big difference, but every little bit helps. This tool has the proper crimping pattern for both crossover and straight-through cabling stenciled right on it, so you will never have to worry about forgetting. If you want to know about longevity you will have to wait until I have done enough crimping to give a good answer. For now, I’m just getting started. One thing the manufacturer didn’t do that would have been nice is to cut out a pocket for carrying some RJ-45 connectors in the case. I’m sure I could use a razor knife to make my own pocket, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to. Oh well, you can’t have everything. For the price this is a solid kit that should serve you well.
