Excellent
I thought it was very good value and useful to a hobbyist

Limited accuracy but not bad for the price
This is not the sort of meter that is good for low inductances (< 1mH) or low capacitance (<100pF). There is no way to zero the meter for inductance, so even with a low impedance short there is an offset (and the zero knob does nothing on inductance ranges - for some reason it can zero out the capacitance ranges). It's also a low frequency measurement - I measured around 300Hz with a scope, except for the lowest inductance/capacitance range where it was 1kHz. So definitely not much use measuring RF components. But for the price - under £30 - it's not bad for checking components from the junk box.

Extremely useful instrument for radio developers
When winding a coil you can use this meter to measure inductance (and compare to the basic inductance formula for the coil). Verify capacitance of circuit elements. Even measure resistance. Great value for money.

A nice meter that fits form and function for its price
I have given this product 5 stars judged against cost, form, fit and function, value for money. I cannot vouch for its longevity as I havent had the unit that long. As an LCR meter it does the job. Compararison of measurements taken against more expensive LCR meters this meter was within a 0.5% tolerance at worst. Its housing construction uses a plastic that is reasonable. It does come fitted inside a robust shroud. Buttons and selector switches are positive although I cannot vouch for tbe longevity of the on/off and hold data button. The display is clear and rotatable. It does seem a little flimsy when raised but does stay in position. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, as for this nice little LCR meter does tbe job tnat I bought it for. I.e to test component values for construction projects and for diagnostic work rather than scientific application. The unit turned up 1 day before it was due, is very robustly packaged. It comes with a selection of probes, again that are ranged at the cheaper end of the market but are functional. Overall I tbink this was a good purchase and judging within my criterion, is excellent.

Not very sensitive but very inexpensive
Bought this meter because I wanted to be able to measure L and C devices to check components. Good points include a display which tilts up and is easy to read, with large digits and an auto power-off so you don’t flatten the battery. Construction is good – a tad plasticky – but not unreasonable for the price. It’s not auto ranging, but again at this price that’s not a problem. Its main limitation is it’s not very sensitive for measuring small L and C values, the most sensitive ranges are 200 pF and 200 micro H. If you’re playing with RF filters capacitors can be a few tens of pF and inductors can run as small as a few tens of nano H, which is way outside the capability of this device and to measure them needs something a lot more sophisticated. So it’s reasonable for the price assuming you want to measure fairly large component values, but of limited help if you’re into the sort of components needed at high RF frequencies.

Very handy meter
I purchased this meter to measure small capacitances such as those found in a lot of variable capacitors. After a little setup, the meter managed to accurately read the capacitance of a tuning capacitor from a portable AM radio. Even down to the low picofarad range there is no problem. I just had to make sure to position the test leads somewhat in their correct positions and adjust the zero point. When clipping the leads to the capacitor I measured about 8 pF to about 300 pF on stator 1 and about 10 pF to about 360 pF on stator 2. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase!

Very good kit
Accurate. Did the sums ie turns dia length wire dia etc. Sums equal to given tested inductance. On the button 110 microhentys 1.5mmwire 180 turns on 30mmtube

It's accurate and reliable.
Before i had this instument calculating and measureing rf coils was a complicated task, now it's easypeasy.
