Well built, heavy enough to stay in place. 2 of the arms are fixed 2 are movable with strong magnetic base that keeps them in place. Arms are stiff and stay in place when you bend them.

Use for my bow press and thry hold thr strings and cables out of the way.

Good value for the money, but the bendable arms do not hold there position very good.

So happy I researched helping hand stands and bought this one. It does everything the more expensive ones do at half the price. Well constructed and has two fixed arms and two magnetic arms for maximum versatility. Yes the magnets are strong. I tested them and there is no movement when holding items. The base is large enough to handle my soldering projects. Everything is included in the kit. I’m impressed.

I used to use the smaller soldering holder (right side of pics). It was the only thing I knew existed so that’s what I used and I never liked it. The fingers were limited in their range of motion, the arms would sag with any sort of pressure, it would sometimes move with the slightest touch so I would often need to clamp it down, it was overall barely usable. Then I saw this item. It is 1000x better. The yellow metal base is fairly heavy for its size. There are 4 larger rubber feet on the bottom to help provide some friction. The 2 arms on the side with the indent are fixed in their positions but the other 2 arms have magnetic bases and can be moved anywhere on the yellow plate. With 4 arms, I can now hold things I need to solder more steady without having to use spare finger(s) like I needed to with my old soldering tool holder. Very helpful indeed!

They have a pretty good magnet and will hold most of what folks will solder out in the open. Should you be in a tight place they will probably be too long and If there Is much resistance they will probably pull apart. BUT keeping that In mind, they have their place In the solder world and for the price, they ain't bad ;) !!!

I tried holding four wires while holding solder and a soldering iron, only to get frustrated. I started looking for a solution, and this is perfect!

So beautifully made, and the design has a lot of careful thought in it. The two goosenecks at the front are bolted in, while the two at the back have (strong) magnetic bases so you can shuffle them around. The base is very heavy steel, extremely stable. It includes a little recess where you can place components, so they don't roll away. Made in USA, with all the quality of a 1950s refrigerator! Expensive but should last indefinitely. This stretched my budget, but, no regrets. (Note: Some simple assembly required.)
