Opoway Pen Light with Pupil Gauge LED Penlight Medical for Nursing School Doctor Diagnostic (Pink & Purple)

Very disappointed with these penlights. One stopped working within a month with little to use (backup I keep in my office pencil container). The other still works (after 3 months) but moving it at all causes the light to dim or flicker. I've tried replacing batteries in both multiple times with no luck. I can only conclude that they're cheap junk that aren't even worth the plastic they're made of. Extremely disappointed but definitely a good lesson on cost vs. quality.Skip these penlights and go with something that will last.

Okay so I ordered the pen light. In the photos it has two pen lights with batteries. I received ONE pen light, with no batteries. I even would have been okay if I had gotten two lights and no batteries, but I needed two. So I send the pen light back so I can get the 2 that I need. I ORDER THE SAME PRODUCT AND THEY SEND ME........ A TONGUE SCRAPER...... BEST PART..... THE CASE WAS EMPTY.....now I have zero pen lights..... And zero tounge scrapers (?).... But I have an empty tounge scraper case! Just what I needed!!!! >_<

Nice and sturdy penlight that outshines the competition. Being able to click the light on/off is super convenient so that you can hold the penlight anyway you want and not have to fumble around with the clip. Photo shows the difference in the brightness of the light.

I bought these for my daughter who is a nurse. And although I did use them once as a flashlight to see junk under my couch AND had a blast playing with them alittle by checking my family's, pets and friends pupils...my daughter, who uses them and knows was she is doing, said these are great. She was impressed by the quality and that they have the guide right on the pens. And the colors are fun. So whether you want these as small purse/pocket flashlights or to do surprise checks for fun or do real pupil checks in the medical field, I highly recommend these. Hope this was helpful.

I’m a medic and definitely appreciate having a pen light finally because I check everyone’s pupils now which has been SUPER helpful. I’ve given narcan like 3 times now in situations I might not have because I didn’t carry the neccarry tools to assess constricted pupils. Pupils tell you a lot and this is an item I now see as important as a stethoscope in my assessments. Only probably is that I keep these in my pocket pants the light is always turning on without me knowing so I’m worried the battery is going to go out soon. But I would purchase again.

Editing my review on account of AMAZING customer service. After reading the review, the company reached out and offered a replacement. Not only did they send me new lights, they even checked whether I would prefer to try their warm pen lights instead! So that’s what they sent me. These have a much nicer and less intense light. Doesn’t leave the blue floaters in your line of sight. And the lights are staying on steadily with this batch. I must have gotten some with a poor connection. Thanks for making it right Opoway! These warm pen lights are great!The lights flicker and don’t stay on well. Not great and wouldn’t buy again personally. Also wish the light wasn’t LED. It’s too much.

Works great for me. I read some reviews about how people had problems with the batteries dying because it would turn on in their pocket but I have yet to have this problem. The pen clicker on it is pretty solid and not something that can easily be tapped/touched to turn it on. It clicks on/off like a normal pen clicker would feel, definitely not super sensitive. I also securely fasten it inside my pocket using the clip on the light. If you have it fasted to your pocket, loop, or something alike, it shouldn't be a problem with turning on/off in your pocket and draining the battery. The only way I see it being a problem is if you let it sit sideways or parallel in your pocket. Other than that, it's bright but not ridiculously blinding to the patient's eyes, the pupil measurements are easy to read and great with a great little 5mm ruler on the other side of the pen. A decent product for what you pay for. I'm happy with it.

These are actually better quality than I expected. I'm a medic and have used ("lost") many over the years. This two pack was perfect as I needed one to carry and one to keep in my vest. Bright and feels sturdy. It clicks off and on via a button on top, button switch has nice response. With some prior penlights, I was bad about having one turn on without knowing it, but haven't ran into that issue yet. Will definitely buy again when its time (read: lose these ones)

I love this penlights, but I don't use them for the intended purpose of doing medical exams. I got them for shining through my dog's nails while I dremel them to confirm where exactly the quick is. For this purpose they are awesome, they are bright enough to make the quick visible even in the black nails, but they don't blind my eyes because the illuminated tip is small enough to completely fit behind the nail. My dog is small (20 lbs.), so larger nails might require a brighter light. My problem with other lights always was that a large light surface was so blinding that I could not really look at the nail, well, problem solved. :-)

Got these in a 2 pack for ambulance. They unscrew all the time in my pocket and the battery falls out. Also, the pocket clip falls off. The light clicks on and off from the back, and does it’s job. Has a pupil scale for reference which is handy. But it’ll fall apart soon and I’ll lose the pieces.

Back when I was nursing these were the pens I always used. I finally found them again and I have 1 in my purse now and one in my emergency kit if needed. They are great. Pen and light.

It is very bright! I will be going into nursing school this fall, so I don't want to test it until I know exactly what I'm doing (don't want to blind anyone). Light weight, durable, accurate pupil gage.

I love that I can replace the batteries for ongoing use and it actually comes with the batteries as well! Sturdy weight (mostly due to batteries) and the pink colour is visible enough that patients can follow with their gaze at ease. Perfect for patient assessments, recommend to all!
