A notebook like this, you buy for the quality of the paper, the feintness of the lines, the gilding of the text block and, most of all, the beauty of the cover art. And this notebook scores highly for all of these features.So, why just the three stars, you ask. Well, my dear and lovely chums, the delightful cover, and the main reason I bought this pretty gewgaw, had a whacking great sticker on the back, covering about a quarter of the surface, full of information I am *never* going to need.But that won't be a problem, thinks I; a company that makes products as handsome as this will, at the very least, have had the gumption to source ultra-low-tack labels that peel off with barely a whisper.Hah, have they heck as like. I think they stuck it on with Gorilla Glue. No matter how gently I pulled, (and I did pull with all the gentleness of a unicorn saving a butterfly from a spider's web) the wretched backing paper stayed firmly, and hideously, in place.Why, Peter Pauper Press? Why would you deface your own beautiful product in such a bestial fashion? Do you hate yourselves so much.Anyway, I finally conquered the monstrous carbuncular residue with about half a gallon* of tea tree oil, a round-ended palette knife, patience, and more gumption than all the staff of Peter Pauper Press put together.All hail me, Lord of De-labellers and Gaffer of Gumption!* There may be some slight exaggeration here, unusually for me; I'm normally so restrained.

These books are just beautiful. Good quality paper and the pictures on the cover are just stunning

This book is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect book in which to write something meaningful and important. I intend to write my memoir in this book and can't think of a more stunning book in which to write it in. The quality is beautiful, impeccable and second to none, A1 if i could have given a higher rating I would have. Certainly not one to miss out on owning and I feel sure when I my family eventually read my book they will be in awe of the book I have chosen to use.

Peter Pauper Press have created quality products worth the cost.My first journal was 'Believe in Yourself', a magnetic hard backed lined book with inspirational quotes dotted throughout the pages. If you are new to journal writing, take the plunge and leave a good few pages free at the beginning to create a table of contents, number your pages as you go along. Be inspired, you owe it to yourself!

A beautifully bound notebook with a magnificent front cover painting you could get lost in. Used for special thoughts and events. Would certainly recommend.
