Good enough for 8 year old boy
My first choice of History books has always been Usborne Young Reading and this is my 3rd book after Roman Army and 100 facts on Egypt this year for my 8 yr old son (Year3) UK.As expected, this was full of information and interesting pictures for a level 3 reader. My boy completed it in one sitting (he loves reading and history books). So will recommend it to any parent whose son has shown interest in King Tut. Since its not too expensive, you may take a chance with this too.

Great for introducing kids to Ancient Egypt
The Osbourne series are well written and illustrated. Perfectly pitched for young children. My 5 and 6 year old boys love this book. They spend hours looking at the pictures and all the details. The book has a good balance between information and illustration, and albeit not funny like the Horrible Histories, it is still entertaining. A good book to help introduce Egyptology and Ancient history to children.

Great for the Egypt topic
This was full of excellent detail and my class thoroughly enjoyed it during our Egypt topic. As long as I continued to remind them that some details had been added to make it more interesting (it was somewhat fictionalised), it really gave them an excellent insight into the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. They loved it.

Perfect for homework
My son has been studying Tutankhamun in primary school. He had to write a news paper article about Tutankhamun, With true facts and actual quotes. This book had everything we needed. I learnt a few things too. Thanks again xx

young readers
Fantastic book, my boy Absolutly enjoys reading it. He got inspired by this book at school because they were reading it as a whole class, and love the fact that is easy enough for a child to understand
