I have only used this cutting mat for a short time, but I think it is an excellent product. One main thing is that it is much thicker and sturdier than ones you see at Joann's, either Fiskar or Olfa. It is heavy and does not slip on the table. Also the ruler "sticks" better so as not to slip. I like that it has inches on both sides, and the markings are clear and user friendly. Actually it's like having two mats in one. I would change only one thing. I'd rather have the numbers on the short side rotated a quarter turn; but I will get used to reading them sideways.

I use this in my basement for making foam board inserts for my game boxes and as a base to protect my table when I paint my miniatures for the games. I am very satisfied with this product it has worked very well and was a great value. I would purchase another if I needed oneIt did have a slight smell when I first opened it but I would expect that (and my basement smells too so it fit right in!) I also heard of people complaining if they left it in direct light it would warp, I can't comment on that as there is no direct light in the part of my basement I use it in, but certainly if you buy one don't leave it in the sun all the time

This mat is really great, it self heals and it's heavy and sturdy. I must warn you, keep it away from any direct sunlight or it will warp horribly. I learned that the hard way, this is my second mat! Now I know to leave it always on a flat surface and away from the sunny heat.

I really like that the ruler markings are on both sides of the mat. I am a bit concerned that the surface seems a bit harder than some other mats and this may cause the rotary cutter blades to dull faster. I will update after some use.

The mat is thick and seems to use material similar to the "brand name" mat. It arrived when expected and in fine shape. The only issue will be how long it lasts, which hopefully we won't know for quite a while, which is what I expect because it seems rather sturdy.

Great product. I'm so glad I got this product. It makes quilting much easier.

I was really disappointed in this mat. I bought it to replace one I've had for 20 years. This one already has grooves in it after just a couple of weeks that's preventing me from cutting evenly. Plus the measurements end in 1/2 inch not a full inch. I messed up my first piece of fabric by not paying attention to this. Buyer beware.Updated: I updated this review because while the mat itself was disappointing the customer service was excellent. They contacted me and worked everything out to my satisfaction.

This mat is well worth the money! It’s much more durable then the ones I’ve had in the past at a lower price. It even arrived a day earlier then expected.
