Jumbo, Stratego - Original, Strategy Board Game, 2 Players, Ages 8 Year Plus

Fantastic game, my 9 year old son loves it (and beats me at it....a lot!) Very fun to play.

A hit with my son and mostly the men! Great game and alternative to games such as draughts and chess.

A great quality game, I just wish the numbers printed on the playing pieces were much larger and clearer to read. Besides that minor niggle the game is quick and easy to learn for all ages and offers deeper tactical strategies after repeated play.

I remembered this game from when I was younger (Now 44) so I bought for my 2 boys for Christmas last year. After the flurry of playing a game nearly every day this did slowly take a back seat but a year down the line and my 2 boys still spend time playing this game throughout the year. Excellent game and just make sure you learn the rules which are really sime to follow. 5 stars from me.

This looks complicated at first but it is really simple and fun to play. It’s a bit like chess meets battleships and you need to learn your opponents strategy which, if they don’t change it, means you can win easily. But if your opponent changes tack each game, it’s more of a challenge to read their approach. Loads of fun. The only downside is that the red pieces are 2 slightly different shades of red, so to the trained eye it’s possible to work out a couple of the pieces.

I used to play stratego at the house of friends and always wanted one... I now ave one and it looks and feel like I wanted it to. The game itself can be learned pretty quickly also due to the addition of Arabic numbers which were not present in the version I used to play back in the 80s. I t took me half hour to explain the basics of the game to my 7 year old daughter and we played a round which she enjoyed a lot, there is something magical about Stratego.If you like Chess and other similar games where it is not only about LUCK, Stratego is a game you will enjoy!

Highly recommend for families. Ages 8 and above should all enjoy this game and has perfect running time to play just the one or several games at a time

We thoroughly recommend this game. Originally bought it back in the 70s and it's still going. Always a good sign!
